Everything was good.

The location just across from the Promenade is great. 5 minutes walk to the beach, 15 all along that Promenade to the ferry terminal. It boasts a market on the bottom floor and many dozens of bars, restaurants cafes within 500 meters. Has a decent sized refrigerator/freezer and a double hotplate, panini press and coffee pot.I made some incredible breakfasts and some decent dinners.

Traffic noise starts earlier than I would wish.

Location was excellent & host was super friendly and helpful!

There’s a leaking prob in the toilet that host offered us to fix it during our stay but we decided not to bother as we didn’t want to be bothered.

Ideal location 50m from promenade and beach, close to restaurants ( nice one on floor one "Balcony " with owner Jimmy giving great rate for exchaning Euros to Lek, and great with local tips & info), bars, cafes, bakeries & small mini mart downstairs. Walking distance to almost anything in Saranda, including port & public transport like buses. Entry to apartment easy and added key lock. Facilities like TV, air-conditioning, washing machine & WiFi all worked fine. Can enter building from ground floor on street listed or on first floor, street above. On 4th floor with tiny elevator ( not always working) or could use stairwell. The apartment was clean and bed comfortable but can only hope on from the end as no space either side as up against back of cupboard and the wall. The cupboard is large. Small refrigerator but adequate.

Instructions for finding property not precise enough with poor reference points, need better communication as host English not great, either verbal or text. In fact I was there 2 weeks and never met him. When I arrived killed two large cockroachs in bathroom & the water, drink & beer supplied in refrigerator were frozen solid. The lighting in corridor outside the apartment is dim & surrounds dirty as was staircase and entrances. The handle on inside of entry door kept falling off. Therecwere soap stains on the bottom of tiled shower wall.There was no shower curtain in bathroom/laundry so water went over floor making it slippery & dangerous. I requested one & got it day 5 of stay. The shower railing for the curtain needs moving inwards, lowered & upgraded from plastic to metal so as to keep water within bottom of shower. There is no screen for small bathroom window so insects just fly in. This window is the only view of sea as main balcony & sliding door faces inland to other buildings and busy main road. Noise is an issue from roads, the beachside music & on the top floor 8th) of this building is the Jungle nite club & bar, which rages every night until midnight. The only sun reaching the balcony occurs for 1 1/2 hrs from about 8am, so drying clothes on the two tiny racks is diminished so lucky for fine summer weather & sunbaking limited. The bathroom towel rack was broken so nowhere to hang towel, except over shower rail, that sags because only plastic. Could do with more hooks or a rack to hang things like caps, hat ( end of cupboard). Could do with a luggage stand ( don't like putting suitcases on floors, susceptible to bugs). There is no light beside bed.Large wasted space behind entry door, could be used shelving or luggage stand. The cooktop is outdated & couldn't be replaced by a microwave.
