I loved that it was stocked with kitchen staples like fast cooking oatmeal, quinoa, lentils, along with coffee, sugar, and the usual amenities. I appreciated being able to take the dogs.
AvantStay requires downloading a separate app and they spam you with emails trying to upsell the property such as adding groceries, massage, etc and afterwards with marketing promotions even if you asked them not to send them. I received perhaps 20 emails/texts/notifications during the month prior to the trip which would have been a nightmare if I had booked several AvantStay locations in a row, as I have done on many trips if each are sending me this many promotional emails. It was a lot to do to check to see if I needed to respond or if they were important. If I had known this, I would not have booked regardless of how nice the property was. There was also too much information when checking in such as a binder containing some useful information like places to go and the WiFi code but also 25 pages of how to operate every machine in the house like air conditioning, remotes, but no check list on how to check out. They also require you to strip the linens and take out the garage prior to leaving, which is a big No no if you book with AirBnb or VRBO. The decor was also chosen by someone who has poor taste in interior design and didn’t read like a professional host.
