The villa has potential but it still needs a lot of work. The photos are definitely doing the place a massive favour. The good things are that its definitely spacious and has many areas for gathering. The kitchen is stunning and very large, and the outdoor + jacuzzi area was lovely. I will say that the downstairs bit is absolutely stunning. There are many bathrooms in the home and the living area was very cozy.

The hosts were kind but not very prepared. Although we were gracefully given an early check in, we were not given a passcode for entry an hour prior as we were told, and then we were given the wrong entry code after we were already waiting and it was an immediate hiccup upon arrival. Once we went inside, we were impressed with it upon first glance but there were a lot of small issues that are not indicated in the photos / aren’t reflective of the high ratings. Most of the bathrooms have hand soap or hand towels, the house didn’t necessarily feel like it was cleaned before we arrived. It felt like a home that had been closed off for a while and we were the people opening it. Lots of dust and just smelled abandoned/ desolate. Some bathrooms didn’t have hot water in the tap as well. The floors were all very scratched and there were a lot of details that felt patched up (tape on a cupboard on the wall in the hall, rugs were quite dirty, barely hangers in the wardrobes, etc, lots of details were missed). The way that the bedrooms were set up was also not ideal. There were no flat sheets in any of the beds and it felt like the beds were made very haphazardly, It just didn’t feel inviting or very clean. Also, all beds were smaller than mentioned on the listing, which meant that two guests had to sleep on the large sofa downstairs because there was not enough sleeping space (the single bed/ small room was quite terrible; the smell was really strong of sewage there and it was just very tiny). The bedding was very scratchy and felt quite used as well. The kitchen is stunning but not very equipped so if you’re planning on cooking/ eating there please make sure you check whats available to you first as it’s not much. The lights in the living area flicker and the wifi was very weak. Also, when asked to provide fitted sheets + extra sheets for people to sleep on the sofa, it was difficult to get this accommodated for by the host but was eventually provided.
