Excellent homely base and location for exploring. Very clean and no indication of any previous canine guests

The location was great - near to some spectacular green spaces and the beach. Fab cafe nearby called Mary Rowntrees, which is highly recommended. Stunning property, games room and large spacious bedrooms and kitchen which are fabulously decorated.

It was dirty. There were numerous visible stains on the carpets and we found a mouldy towel in the washing machine which had clearly been there for a long time and rendered the washing machine unusable because of the smell. We had to wash all plates and glasses before we used them. Shower cubicle was full of limescale residue. My dog found some rolled up toilet paper partly stuffed under one of the beds and goodness knows what was on that. Downstairs never got warm despite the additional plug in heaters. There was a constant smell of cannabis each evening as we left the house, which is nothing the property owners can do about, but it was quite unpleasant. Parking is not actually on site, but on street, and we felt the listing misrepresented this. Nonetheless, we managed to park with ease each day. The rear yard was secure but unkempt with peeling paint and weeds growing. There’s a definite lack of bins, tea towels, toilet rolls, and hand soap in the little toilet - the little things you would expect with a ‘luxury’ stay which is how it is advertised. Further examples are that there were three of us staying and only two mini bottles of wine; there were no coffee pods and the coffee machine was grubby. We felt the cleanliness and lack of attention to detail let the property down. But we had a great time and used it as a base to explore other parts of this stunning coastline

Lovely big rooms. Beds were comfortable. Good facilities and good location for the beach. Games room was a bonus!

Downstairs never really warmed up at all despite the additional heater. Lack of bins and no recycling options.

Location is very quiet and convenient to local amenities. House is lovely and very spacious.

Strong smell of urine on the staircase landing. Lots of the cutlery noted to be dirty as were the plates. I had to wash items before using them. Attic bedroom had been flooded and couldn’t be used. Owner did inform me prior to our stay and thankfully we did not need to use the room as it did not smell pleasant at all.
