Price

Be very careful when booking this property, as it has an extremely strict check-in cutoff. If you arrive after their limit, even if you inform them in advance, they will not let you in. I sent my estimated arrival time at 8 AM, which was after the time stated in their policy, and exchanged several messages with the host during the day. At no point was I told that they would refuse entry after a certain hour due to having no staff available (very concerning given the lack of keys in the doors too as per the other reviews). As a result, I arrived to find the door locked and no one there to help or answer the phone. I was left outside in the middle of winter with nowhere to go, especially since the trains had already stopped running and every nearby hotel was fully booked. The next day, the host simply marked me as “no show” and messaged me saying, “If you check the check-in policy we do not honor check in after 10pm as there will be no one available after that time to assist check in.” This lack of clear communication and support made for a very distressing experience.

We didn’t like the fact our room door didn’t have a lock on it, there was no kettle in the room and wasn’t comfortable using the kitchen as it’s a family home and there was no tv in the room.

Overall lovely stay but could do with little improvements

Nice tidy location, bed was very comfortable, very accommodating with parking (the whole point of the visit was to collect a new vehicle) owners were lovely

draws were replaced by a mis match desk, could of used a bigger duvet as was a bit small for the bed, bedroom door had no lock which was a bit concerning.

Needs improvement

I stayed here last night and overall it was a decent experience. The room was a good size, clean, and had an ensuite bathroom. The bed was large and the mattress comfortable, which I really appreciated.

There were a couple of things that made the stay less restful. The walls are quite thin, so when someone started showering at 6 a.m. it woke us up, which wasn’t ideal after a late night. Also, the room didn’t have a lock, which made me feel uneasy since there were other guest rooms in the property. Communication could have been better too—there was no clear checkout policy, and when we finally found someone they just told us to leave the keys on the shoe rack. It felt a bit impersonal, with no “thank you” or even a quick check-in about how our stay was. Overall, the place itself is nice and comfortable, but a few small improvements would make the experience much better.

Great location and comfortable bed

The bedroom was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It was also a short walk away from Bicester Village and a large Tesco aswell as another retail park with some restaurants and shops. Additionally, the hosts were lovely and even offered food they were making (which was delicious), and made me feel very comfortable.

I had a suspicion that it was a shared accommodation but I couldn’t find anywhere that actually stated it was unless I’m just being dim. It didn’t affect the stay though as they were very kind and helpful.
