Maris Suite - Romantic Jacuzzi

Marco, the owner, picked us up from the airport in the evening, and the transfer is included in the service. The apartment is actually only about 1 km from the airport, on a vineyard estate, less than a ten-minute walk away. Our flight arrived late, and Putzu Idu and the surrounding area were the main destination of our holiday. I didn’t want to drive along the scenic coastal road at night, so we only picked up our rental car at the airport the following morning. That’s why we were looking for somewhere nearby to stay for just one night. The apartment is just the right size for two people. The main feature is the jacuzzi in the room, although we didn’t use it – we preferred cooling off in the estate’s swimming pool instead. The house was clean and the bathroom was lovely, though a little small. There is a terrace running around the house, surrounded by oleanders. Two bottles of water were waiting for us in the kitchen. The bed was comfortable and towels were provided as well. In the morning, we simply left the key in the lock, as the host lives on the property.

If you arrive late in the evening, either buy some food at the airport, bring a sandwich with you, or message Marco on WhatsApp beforehand to ask whether they can arrange a few basic groceries for you. There is a vending machine by the pool, but it only accepts coins and, as far as we could see, it only had chocolate and perhaps some crisps. Luckily, we had bought two large sandwiches in Budapest before our flight, so we had something to eat when we arrived. There are no restaurants or shops in the immediate area – the airport is basically the only nearby option.

Our stay at Maris Apartments was easily one of our most beautiful vacations in Sardinia, and we will undoubtedly return! From the moment we arrived, the host, Marco, went above and beyond. He is exceptionally kind, polite, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making his guests' stay perfect. He even provided us with beach umbrellas and towels for our day trips—a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about his hospitality. Thank you, Marco, for everything! We wish you continuous success in managing these wonderful apartments. The Location & Accommodation The location could not be better. Situated a convenient 500 meters from the airport, it is also just an 8 to 10-minute drive from the stunning city of Alghero and its finest surrounding beaches. The apartment itself is brand new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated with carefully chosen furnishings and a wonderful jacuzzi. Everything felt fresh, elegant, and comfortable. Pool & Amenities The swimming pool area is a true oasis, surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation. The pool is immaculately maintained with crystal-clear water and fully equipped with everything you need to relax in the sun. Thoughtful extra amenities—including pool-side restrooms and vending machines—made spending the day by the water seamless and incredibly enjoyable. We left with amazing memories and highly recommend Maris Apartments to anyone visiting Sardinia. We can't wait to come back!
