Window blinds cracked, broken I many places, allows an invasion of privacy. Needs to be replaced!

We enjoyed staying at this fun, art-filled, colorful, cozy house in a lovely neighborhood with beautiful older houses that have loads of personality, mature gardens/ landscaping on a tree lined street. Very quiet and peaceful, with people on walks and at this time of year many Halloween decorations... it felt festive and family oriented. Great location, feels safe and next to fabulous destinations, incredible older neighborhoods nearby with stunning architecture as well as historical destinations, wonderful restaurants, nice shops, easy access to the freeway, and just a beautiful area. It was the nicest part of Sacramento we experienced on our trip. Our host was great at communication and providing amenities. The neon cactus in the window made it easy to find the place at night. There is art in every room and most of it is available to purchase. There were pieces I would love to have if it were in my budget... they were definitely reasonably priced, just not something we could afford at the moment. The owner is a visionary with his gallery destinations. We were thankful to be able to book this rental because when researching hotels and seeing reviews, this seemed much cleaner, safer, quieter, more private, bigger, without unexpected additional charges for parking or cash deposits and we were right. The owner has other art house destinations and if we stay in Sacramento again, we will be thrilled to stay at any of them. Honestly, when researching similarly priced hotels (even the high priced ones not in our budget), there were so many reviews that mentioned roaches, bed bugs, soiled bathrooms and bed linens, poor maintenance, additional fees for parking or no on site parking/ having to park far away, car thefts, noise, cigarette odors, freeway noise, sketchy areas with only the freeway nearby, no nice destinations, and unexpected fees. This was none of that...

I can't say that we didn't like anything. This is an older home with years of history so if you're expecting it to be restored like new, it isn't, but it is really nice in our opinion and we love the vintage character, which makes it cozy, so we were very content staying here and it was clean. The heater worked great, but the furnace was more audible than ours (because ours is in our attic & theirs is in the hallway) so if you're a light sleeper and you use it after going to bed, it may wake you when it kicks on, but we had no problem going back to sleep and the hum once it starts up again will get you back to sleep like a noise machine made for sleeping.
