Castle Kennels

The location, the house, itself the view of the castle out the window, the neighbors, the beautiful potato fields, the deer and rabbits in the field, the front patio garden, the bird song, no stairs, proximity to Aberfeldy (a lovely little town). We were two older sisters and it was just right for us!

The host (not on site) left directions for us to clean all the surfaces we touched before leaving, but when you step in the door, the carpets and upholstery are visibly dirty. The directions for operating the clothes washer and the cooker (oven and range) were inadequate or missing. We used Google, but even that wasn't always clear for us (from the USA). She did answer calls and responded to emails when we were trying to find clothes pins to hang the washed clothing, etc .We could have asked more questions truthfully, but it was embarrassing and we felt like idiots. We read all the information she left for us, and understood why she needed us to wipe things down when she left. But some visitors might not read all of it and might not understand.

Die Lage hat uns gut gefallen, riesiger eingezäunter Grundstück, perfekt für unseren Hund. Gut eingerichtete Küche mit Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine. Sehr ruhig gelegenes Cottage. Wunderschöne Blumen und Bäume rundum das Cottage.

Leider ist es in dem Cottage sehr feucht, darum war das Badezimmer nicht sehr einladend (Vorhang schimmelig genauso die Decke, Fensterrahmen und Wand neben dem Waschbecken). Ein kleiner Couchtisch wäre schön gewesen. Sessel ist sehr wackelig und der andere total fleckig. Teppich hat auch seine besten Zeiten hinter sich. Die Handtücher haben leider etwas muffig gerochen, mussten sie erstmal waschen. Alles in einem würden wir sagen dass man viel mehr rausholen kann aus dem Cottage.

The location is stunning. The enclosed courtyard and garden are perfect for children and pets. The cottage had everything you need go a comfortable stay and the surrounding area has so many lovely walks and things to see.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but that’s mainly down to our age and back problems! Must remember to bring my own pillow!

Location Thoughtful extras in the kitchen, Ie coffee, biscuits etc great after a long drive to wind down with a hot drink. Warm. Bedding and pillows plump and warm.

Furnishings looked tired. Beds were quite uncomfortable (hard)
