Charming little house in a small village in the Moselle wine area

We stayed in the house mainly because we wanted to walk the first 6 stages of the Moselsteig and were unable to find a hotel at the end of each stage. For this purpose, the house is brilliant: the car (and a few bikes) can be parked in front of the house and Oberbillig train station is a less than 10-minute walk. The house itself is old but very well-maintained and clean. It has a well-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms (one very large downstairs and one very small upstairs). It has a garden with terrace downstairs and a very sunny deck upstairs. The village of Oberbillig is small and quiet, but it has a Biergarten, a few wineries, and a restaurant that overlooks the confluence of the Moselle and Sure rivers and the town of Wasserbillig across the river in Luxembourg. It has a direct train connection to Trier and other towns along the Moselle. As far as we could see there were no (grocery) shops at all; as we visited nearby towns each day, this was no problem though. The city of Trier is only 15 minutes by car or train.

For our stay there was nothing missing, but I can imagine that families may want a larger living room: it seems rather cramped with a dining table for 6 and a comfy recliner sofa for 3, and that's it (as can be seen on the photos, which give a good impression). While we were staying there, day temperatures were quite high (around 30C on some days with hardly a cloud in the sky), which made it hard to manage the heat on the upper floor where the bedrooms are, especially in combination with the soft beds and pillows. I can imagine that this weather was quite unusual though.

Gerne wieder. Das Haus war perfekt für unsere Familie mit erwachsenen Kindern

Ein schönes Haus mit drei Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern. Wir haben uns super Wohl gefühlt. Der offene Küchenbereich mit dem Esstisch, großzügig gefüllte Espressomaschine voll mit Kaffekapseln, Aussenbereich zum sitzen und ein Parkplatz. Was möchte man mehr?

Huis in Oberbillig aan de Moesel

Goed ligging tov Luxemburg en Trier. 2 badkamers (1 hele grote + 1 compacte), 2 terrasjes, ruime keuken met goede voorzieningen. 2 ruime slaapkamers + 1 iets kleinere. Wasmachine + droger.

Beddengoed rook wat muf. Zitgedeelte met 2 pers. bank en verder alleen eetkamerstoelen. Niet iedereen kon s avonds comfortabel zitten.

Wir waren mit drei Personen und zwei Hunden. Für uns ausreichend. Für sechs Personen eher emg.

Wenn im oberen Bad die Lüftung anging, entstand ein mufgiger Geruch.

Schöner Urlaub mit kleinen Macken

Die Lage war super. Der Check in problemlos und reibungslos. Hunde freundliche Lage und die Nähe zur Fähre nach Luxemburg großartig. Die Betten im Haus waren sauber und ok . Man hörte Nachts auch mit geöffneten Fenstern keinen Lärm draußen.

Von der Ausstattung waren wir ein wenig enttäuscht. Es fehlte ein gut kühlender Kühlschrank. Wir waren im heißen August 25 dort. Der Kühlschrank kühlt so gut wie nicht. Egal welche Einstellung man probiert. Eine der 2 Duschen lief über. Wasser lief nicht ab . Überschwemmung . Sturzgefahr. Telefoniert mit dem Eigentümer , die Dame war nett. Hoffe die Sachlage wird behoben. Denn die Lage des Hauses ist super.

Hygiëne Tapijt vuil,best niet gebruiken met honden Douche ,water liep niet weg Huis vuil,achter de zetel was niet gekuist

Le matériel mis à disposition était de qualité tant dans la cuisine que dans les chambres où la douche au rez-de-chaussée.

Es war sehr gemütlich wir haben uns sehr Wohlgefühlt

Das Haus war hochwertig und modern eingerichtet, mit schöner Sonnen Terrasse. Das Badezimmer oben ist leider was klein und es roch aus den Rohren. Aber das tolle Bad unten hat es wieder raus gehauen. Das Haus ist recht hellhörig aber das hat uns Einglück nicht gestört. Alles in allem war es sehr schön.

Gute Lage! Umfangreiche Ausstattung.

Statt Nespressomaschine (nicht ökologisch) wäre eine "normale" Filterkaffeemaschine wünschenswert gewesen. Bettdecken aus Mikrofaser (man schwitzte). Balkon sehr nah am Nachbarbalkon. Man verstand jedes Wort. Im Duschbereich hingen noch die nassen Handtücher des Vormieters.

Hat alles gepasst 😊

Die Schlafzimmer & Badezimmer sind neu gemacht. Die Küche ist auch gut ausgestattet. 2 Min zu Fuß ist man bei der Fähre nach Luxemburg.

Der Parkplatz vor der Unterkunft war etwas knapp für unseren Bus. Rollos sind zT schon sehr alt - wir haben dann aber hald die Vorhänge benutzt.

Wirklich zu empfehlen, gerne übernachten wir hier wieder.

Rundum super, wir wollten sofort wieder buchen, sind aber chancenlos - zurecht! Es ist eine top Unterkunft.
