About this house rental
Northern Blessings is a large, cute, comfy, and casual home in the heart of northern Michigan! Features huge master bedroom with indoor private jetted tub and private en suite bathroom! Large living room with lots of seating and a wet bar! Central A/C and high-speed Wi-Fi! Huge outdoor deck with outdoor dining furniture and gas grill! Great proximity to Otsego Lake, downtown Gaylord, snowmobile trails, and area golf courses and ski resorts!
NEIGHBORHOOD:
The home is in a fairly private and secluded area just off of Otsego Lake Road. It's at the north end of Otsego Lake, but does not include lake access. Otsego Lake State Park is at the south end of Otsego Lake, about 5 miles from the cabin. The cabin is in a great location for exploring northern Michigan as it is close to Otsego Lake and downtown Gaylord (with lots of shops and restaurants). It's also close to numerous golf courses, ski resorts, and snowmobiling trails in the area.
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the everything except the detached garage, which is not for guest usage. (Guests do have access to the 2-car attached garage, which is very convenient during the winter months.)
THE SPACE:
The home is beautifully decorated with a "northern Christian" theme throughout the house.
TRANSIT:
It is highly recommended that guests have their own vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
(1) Just to avoid confusion, the hot tub is an indoor jetted tub that is in the large upstairs bedroom.
(2) There are some Christian-themed decorations throughout the house. If this bothers you, then we would suggest that you simply book a different property.

We loved this home so much! Comfortable, room for us all to have our own space, except for our dog, who very happily followed us wherever we went. So glad we could bring him with us. The area is filled with all kinds of fun things to do, and is in "near enough" proximity to Mackinac Island and the UP. The following *in no way* affect our 5-star review, but just some notes in case someone suffers with a chronic illness or environmental sensitivities (as I do):1. The living room is very quiet, being on the back of the house. Some traffic noise through bedroom windows, nothing too loud. It's not all day long and it didn't affect our sleep.2. The living room gets very bright during the afternoon especially, and there was no way to mitigate the sun coming through the windows in and surrounding the door to the deck. The glare on the TV was significant enough that we couldn't see it clearly during the day. (We rigged up black construction paper to handle it, since I'm very sensitive to light, so I could still be with my family.)3. There were no obvious scents or smells, which was so nice. The cleaning staff do a great job!4. The water smelled faintly of ladybugs. No skin reaction, so I assume it had something to do with being a little bit in the country. It had a taste, so we mostly just drank bottled water during our stay. If you aren't sensitive to water taste or smell, this probably won't bother you at all. We loved this place and hope to visit again!

House was clean and well kept. All the amenities I wanted to stay a week like 2 bathrooms, washer & dryer, and a dishwasher! Private and nice scenery, but very close to shopping and restaurants!

We looked for something that would accommodate or sitation for the weekwnd. We were attending a volleyball tournament and family was meeting to stay to watch also.. Tbe house was large enough that we could have held a team dinner there, but we didn't. We did use the grill and cooked out though. The location was cklose to places we wanted to go and need to be. Beds were comfy and we grested well. Check-in was easy and Tabitha was prompt to answer questions and provide info..

We rented this house because we had other family who rented a house down the street.
The house is in a location with no other houses in sight. When we got in the house, the smoke detectors were not hooked up to the walls, and we had a couple other issues. Reached out to the property manager and she came over the next day to fix it. The house had a unique smell (mildew, smoke, cat litter). There were no dead bolts to lock the exterior doors, which made me uncomfortable. I was happy that we spent most of the time at our family's house that they rented instead of hanging out here.
Not a 10/10 like the other reviews.
