About this cottage rental
Located in the upper part of the town of Benllera—in the municipality of Carrocera, in the Luna region—just 30 km from León and at an elevation of over 1,000 meters. Surrounded by vast pine forests, it is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings without having to travel far.
The house is fully equipped for 4 people. It has heating and hot water.
The bedrooms, located on the upper floor, are attic-style, with exposed wooden beams and stone walls. The furniture is rustic and functional. One of the bedrooms has a king-size bed and the other has two single beds; there is also the option to add a crib to the house.
The house has two full bathrooms; one of them features a whirlpool tub, a hair dryer, and a magnifying mirror.
The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, glass-ceramic cooktop, range hood, microwave, toaster, juicer, coffee maker, and all the kitchenware needed for a comfortable stay. The living room has a spacious and comfortable sofa and a wood-burning fireplace for guests’ use; a wrought-iron and wood staircase leading from here provides access to the upper floor.
The patio, which provides access to the house, features a spacious wooden porch, a barbecue, garden furniture, and planters with native plants from the area.
The house is equipped with a safe, first-aid kit, iron and ironing board, numerous board games, tourist information on the area’s main attractions, reference books, a flat-screen TV with international channels, and a DVD player, all of which enhance the range of amenities.
In the immediate vicinity is the Selga de Ordás reservoir, where you can go fishing or birdwatching; Piedrasecha, with the Calderones Trail; the regions of Omaña, Luna, Órbigo, and Babia; and a little further away, El Faedo—a forest of centuries-old beech trees—or the famous Valporquero Caves, the Pajares ski resort, or even the wonderful beaches of Asturias, just a 50-minute drive away via the highway.
La Magdalena—just 5 km from Benllera—is the region’s most important town, with direct access to the highway AP-66, which runs from Asturias to León, where it connects with the highway A-66 to Benavente, and from there with the highway A-6—a major transportation corridor connecting Madrid with La Coruña.
To reach the Entre Valles Country House, if you’re traveling on the AP-66 highway, take the La Magdalena–La Robla exit and continue on the CL-623 highway toward León. Just 5 km away, you’ll find the right turn toward Benllera.
If you prefer not to take the highway, from León take the CL-623 road toward Villablino; 28 km along this road, you’ll find the turnoff for Benllera on the left.
Once in Benllera, take the last uphill street on the right; you’ll find us at the top of the street.
If you’re interested in active tourism, we offer hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and 4x4 tours of the area, as well as rock climbing, rappelling, and canyoning on the peaks of Piedrasecha, and water sports at the nearby Barrios de Luna reservoir, cave canyoning in the Valporquero Caves, hunting and fishing on the Órbigo River, guided nature trails led by qualified staff, and golf near León—these are just some of the activities we’ve arranged with specialized companies, offering special rates for guests of Casa Rural Entre Valles.
