This newly renovated home is full of charm, with two beds and comfy bedding, one bath, an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, cozy living area, work-from-home friendly with high-speed internet, a private fenced in back yard with a large deck and fire pit, and a driveway + garage for two cars.

All of our bedrooms feature premium mattresses with down-alternative comforters, nightstands with reading lights, large closets, and ample outlets.
Bedroom 1: queen sized bed with large closet, a comfortable desk for working and blackout curtains.
Bedroom 2: full sized bed with large closet, stylish decor and blackout curtains.
Kitchen: Thoughtfully renovated with gorgeous marble countertops and a white tiled backsplash, fully stocked with pots, pans and all the essentials you need to cook a full meal. Extra appliances include a blender, hot water kettle, toaster and even a waffle maker! The kitchen has a high-top table that comfortably fits four people.
Living Room: The living room is full of style and comfort! The couch is stylish and perfect for lounging. The smart TV and sound bar allow you to fully enjoy anything you'd like on Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc. Or you can grab a book or game off the shelf to enjoy.
Bathroom: The bathroom is updated for comfort and cleanliness. Great shower pressure, cozy towels, hair dryer, and all the bath essentials you need.

Overall, it was a lovely stay. I thought the place was pretty much as advertised. The beds were comfy. The neighborhood was quiet. Not walking distance to restaurants and shopping, but definitely close to local parks and perfect for what I needed for my extended three week stay. Christine was excellent at communicating. I did give her some ideas for outfitting her kitchen. My only other comments would be that it’s time for a bathroom update and some deep cleaning with more attention to the front and back exterior conditions to make for a 5star perfect stay.

We were going to a show in Ferndale on Friday and then I was staying on to explore Detroit leaving on Sunday. As soon as I opened the door I could tell it has always been kept clean because there were no odors. No overly bleached or air freshener odors (the back area smelled like dog but that’s not even close to a deal breaker for me).The beds were very comfy and the bedding was so nice! Hot water & pressure. This is a cute, little home minutes from downtown Ferndale and the perfect distance to meander your way through the different neighborhoods and really explore Detroit. Make your map app avoid highways!As a single woman traveler I did not feel uncomfortable or unsafe either. If you absolutely must park off street the spot is small and short so you aren’t getting a big vehicle in there. Excellent communication from the host. I could only imagine if I had needed anything she would be on top of it.

This was by far the best home I’ve ever stayed in on this site & others! I truly felt at home and was so grateful. I needed somewhere to stay while dealing with a basement flood situation, a cozy space with a hot shower. This place beyond exceeded that! The best vibes, and immaculate style. Thoughtfully put together with everything you need and more! Also thankful for the host, a very kind person! Meant a lot during my stressful time. Loved the backyard too, such an awesome space with the perfect amount of sun! Really needed that relaxing outside. Great location, easy to find, close to everything, friendly area too! 10/10 I left very refreshed!!
