About this cottage rental
Our 1920 historic Outer Banks cottage was part of “Old Cottage Row” in Nags Head. We are minutes away from beach access, local restaurants and steps away from Jockeys Ridge State Park. Walk across the street and step onto the tallest sand dunes on the Atlantic coast ideal for flying kites and watching beautiful sunsets. Enjoy a 3min walk for paddling, kiteboarding, and windsurfing on the soundside beach. Our historic cottage offers a unique experience that will take you back in time!
The space:
Our comfy and cozy cottage has been renovated yet we maintain as many original touches in the space. A breathtaking porch view of Jockeys Ridge with dining area and hanging corner perfect for your morning coffee, meals and/or happy hour. Front yard perfect for a sunbath or to grill your dinner.
The first floor is an open area with a living room and kitchenette area and half bathroom. Upstairs you will find one full bathroom and two bedrooms, each with a queen bed each and fans. Both bedrooms have an incredible view of the sand dunes state park.
This preserved cottage has been fully furnished for your perfect getaway! Wifi reaches anywhere inside the cottage and the porch. The living room area is featured with a Smart TV with Apple TV and different subscriptions apps downloaded. The kitchenette includes coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, toaster oven and kitchen utensils. Convenient shady parking space next to the cottage!

- Steps away from Jockeys Ridge State Park.
Ideal for a sandy walk, hike the state park trails, fly kites or enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
- 3min walk to a sandy beach in the soundside.
Enjoy the mesmerizing sunsets in the water horizon or refresh in the calm sound water during the day.
- 5min drive / 10 min bike ride to nearest beach access!
The closest beach access is blocks away but you can explore many of beach access and piers OBX has along the coast.
- Less than 10 min drive to restaurants, grocery store, outlets etc!
Everything you need is near. Great local restaurants some with incredible water views. Forgot something? Clothing stores and grocery stores are 3 miles away!
There are no residences in the front of the property. The rental and residence are 2 different spaces and neither are shared.
The rental is a two story cottage with its own private entrance. We live on the property and will respect your privacy. Yet we will assist if you need anything!

The property was absolutely as it stated a “cottage”. It was super cute and cozy. The home does need some updates but tons of character. No stovetop and only a small toaster oven was a tiny issue when it came to breakfast in the mornings. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the cottage and the host great.

What an extraordinary place! We loved the location and being able to enjoy an historic cottage. Great hosts, we would love to return here.
