Well what can I say, one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Great location, we went to the Epsom Derby and was just 15/20 minutes taxi ride. Nothing was too much trouble for the host, I needed an iron to iron my dresses and his shirts, and they provided it as soon as we got there. There was a bottle of champagne in the fridge which was a lovely surprise. We had an early check as no one was there the night before so we were able to get ready there in the morning before setting off for the races.. There’s not a lot of living space but I could tell that from the pictures, but enough for what we needed. The Jacuzzi bath was lovely to relax in in the morning and the hot tub in the evening. I just loved everything about the it, the attention to detail, the crockery and cutlery, the decor, loved the big bath overlooking the field, loved the hot tub, the bed was super comfortable. Alot of thought has gone into the interiors of the lodge, it was like staying in 5* hotel, we loved it. Location is great, M&S food shop at the local garage, pub about five minutes walk, Chessington world of adventure down the road. I found a local hairdresser 10 minutes drive away who curled my hair. There is also a small outdoor cafe on the farm which lots of local people come to and various walks around and about. When we were leaving on Sunday a helicopter landed which was quite exciting. A very minor thing for me, I would have liked the choice of blackout blind on the velux window, as once I’m awake I can very rarely get back to sleep, so as soon as it was daylight, around 5.30am I couldn’t get back to sleep. There are wooden blinds on the window and door which are great, however it wouldn’t stop me from staying again. I believe they are in the process of building a bigger hut, I hope it’s ready for next years Derby as we would love to come again.

Very minor detail, it would of been useful to have either some fresh or long life milk to have a cup of tea. There was a coffee machine but I’m not a coffee person.

Attention to detail

Nice little kitchen area , could benefit from a way of heating up food in absence of an oven. Microwave, or Our Place oven/grill
