The location of the property was excellent, and the property had air conditioning. Walking distance to the beech and transport links.

We paid £6.5k for a family of 5, from the end of June for 10 nights. First impression I broke down in tears. The pictures that are advertised on Booking.com are NOT a true reflection of the property itself. Getting out of vehicle when we first arrived there was damaged outdoor lighting with wires exposed. When entering the property it was immediately obvious that the property was not as pictured. You first walk into the living / dining room you see straight away marks on all the walls, around the light switches, door handles, chips on the doorways and doors, water stains, damaged furniture, rusting pipes and the poor or lack of cleanliness. Walking around the rest of the property there was not one room with some kind of mark/stain even in the upstairs where it has been modernised. Whilst we appreciate wear and tear being a holiday let and I know accidents happen that can cause minor damage but with the money charged they are very easily fixable complaints and with a thoroughly good clean the property could be stunning and warrant the premium it charges. My daughter had a bath on the first night and water came up through the shower and flooded the entire bathroom. We reported this straight away and this was supposedly fixed the next day, but then there was a continuing bad smell from the all the drains in the house and the initial problem wasn’t fixed, as this happened again at a later date. On a side note, the weather was stunning while we were there, the only downside to this was their was no curtains fitted so at 6 o’clock in the morning, the east fencing downstairs bedroom felt like you were living in a greenhouse, if this is how Belgium properties are normally then I apologise. We contacted Booking.com straight away to complain about the state of the property who then passed our details onto the property management.

Kitchen and bedrooms

The bathroom needs to be urgently upgraded.

1. Smelly toilets and exhaust in both bathrooms were not working 2. No shower curtains or separator in the ground floor bathrooms(so we got one bathroom for 12 persons) 3. Stain on the bed 4. Towels comes dirty
