To the north of the old town, with its many old half-timbered houses, is the spa park In der Helle, where you can play mini golf in summer and toboggan in winter. One of the highest and probably best-known mountains in the Sauerland rises in the Winterberg district: the Kahle Asten, where the Lenne has its source.
