Despite its small population, the port city of Ostend is very lively and full of entertainment and is only 35 kilometers from the Dutch border. After a beautiful day at the beach, you can visit the Kursaal, where you will find entertainment in the concert hall, the restaurant and the magnificent casino. Ostend has excellent shopping opportunities, such as in the famous Chapel Street. Several cultural treasures, including the open-air museum Atlantikwall, the museum ship Amandine and the former royal summer residence are definitely worth a visit.
