This is a great house. Next time I visit Tyler, I will look for this house. It is maintained well and kept clean. We never saw a single pest. It is pleasantly decorated. The kitchen is well equipped if you plan to cook (we did). It can house 6 adults, but not comfortably (1 king bed and 2 queens); the family room can comfortably seat 5 adults. Neither table could seat 6 adults (both tables have 4 chairs each). This house is perfect for a family though, which is what my group of 4 was. The house is conveniently located for everywhere you would want to go. It is stocked with basic coffee, laundry, and dish washing supplies. The bathrooms supply a few days worth of essential toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shaving). A great feature is your guest contact. We were provided her phone number and email. Before our stay, I was able to email her to ask her questions so I could pack appropriately. During our stay, the kitchen faucet had a small water leak. Within 5 minutes of texting her, she replied saying she was on her way. 25 minutes later she arrived. 10 minutes later the plumber arrived. We left for dinner, and before we left the restaurant we got a text saying it was fixed.
I wouldn't say I disliked anything. I really liked the house. However, there are a few things that renters should be aware of and a few improvements that could be made. The house is conveniently located on Broadway, a main street running through Tyler. This is great for getting everywhere. Not so great at night when you want to sleep and people are zooming by in cars/motorcycles. Luckily, I have a rainfall mp3 on my tablet, so we played that all night. Bring white noise of some type and you will be fine. The bedrooms have nightstands, but don't have dressers for your clothing. The closets all have room for a small dresser, so that would be an improvement for the owner to make (bedroom 3 closet had shelves, so adding those to the other rooms would work too). The house is not wheelchair accessible. Two steps are required for every entrance. There are no ramps. My father uses a large walker, there is one hallway entry that he couldn't fit through (a small walker would have fit); however, he could use the other hall entry. I wouldn't want to try to maneuver a wheelchair through the house. The master bathroom is small. It worked fine for us, but it wouldn't have worked for my father because the toilet would have blocked him from using his walker to get to the shower.
