Marlins Cove Coastal Townhouse Ocean Grove

We liked that the property was homey and spacious. The bedrooms were beautifully designed. The property was tidy, clean and organised.

We didn’t expect the main kitchen to be upstairs, which added a level of difficulty when brining everything in and upstairs. We stayed at the property over a very warm weekend, and the air conditioner upstairs simply wasn’t enough to cool the upstairs.

The upstairs living room is comfortable. The property manager was responsive to our requests for essential items like soaps and BBQ gas; however it would have be preferable to arrive to the property ready to use. Bus stop 55 located less than a 5minute walk from the front door. Accommodates large number of people, good for families with young children. The young children loved having toys, especially after travelling with limited toys of their own

The property wasn’t ready for short term rental. We arrived and were missing the essentials like shampoo we would have liked to see all bathrooms have hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, spare toilet paper, body wash. Kitchen had numerous expired condiments in the cupboards we binned. Kitchen was running low on essentials dishwasher detergent, garbage bags etc for a house that size they should plan for 2 loads of dishes daily for STR. We were unable to use the vacuum as it had been left dirty and possibly used on wet, it made a smell when we attempted to use it. For the price I’d like to see better linens, Not all beds had duvet covers which made sleeping with a bare blanket uncomfortable, the bathroom with ensuite and downstairs full bed felt over used and bagged out. We had to dust and sweep the patio to eat dinner outside, the astroturf lawn could have used cleaning of debris fallen from the trees. Custom built in bunk beds would make the bunk room suitable for young adults in addition to young children.
