TUNAK Resort Lombok

Fantastic isolated location in the middle of a stunning national park on the Southern edge of Lombok. Staff were hospitable and catered to our every need. Cliff side villa was stunning. Kids loved the baby turtles. Also had a fantastic tennis court for guests.

great vibe and service. Felt heartfelt and proactive by the staff. The ATV (4 wheeler) free of use was excellent as it enabled exploring the beaches and doing the highly recommended hike on the ridges to the east. The turtle release was also an excellent surprise.

water pipes outside our villa were obvious (white). Should cover them w bamboo or at least paint them brown.

Absolutely everything 🙏🏼 The staff, the food, the drinks (best salted caramel latte ever ), the animals, the views, the experiences 🌅🙌🏼 From the very moment we arrived the reception staff treated us like family, so warm & welcoming. We can’t wait to come back. 🧡 Tunak (South Lombok) is now our new favourite place in Indonesia 🇮🇩 we loved the jungle meets the ocean experience, especially the complimentary ATV’s to explore with. ❤️

We were blown away with our villa, it was spacious, stylish and a delight to stay in. The view was absolutely beautiful, particularly at sunset too! Kindest staff - everyone was so genuinely kind and friendly, we felt really at home and welcomed here. Not just on a professional level, but at a personal level with staff remembering our names and genuinely caring. Every single staff member was amazing, but in particular, the general manager, the guest experience manager, the rangers and the chef (who we went on. Run with!) and the waitress at the restaurant were great. Room service was incredible! This really stood out during our stay at Tunak. Firstly, we were celebrating a very special occasion and the welcome we received when we entered the room (a beautiful bouquet, towel arrangement and X) was so thoughtful. We also really loved the evening treat where when out for dinner, we arrived back to find our outside entry lamp on, bedside lamps on, slippers by the side of the bed and a bottle of water and a glass on the bedside table. It was such a treat, and we loved coming back to this in the evenings! It made us smile everytime! Food was delicious! We were at Tunak for 6 days (with one of us being pescatarian) and never got bored of the menu! We especially loved the Mahi Mahi, some of the best fish we’ve tasted. We also had the best seafood Mi Goreng we’ve had here - it was delicious. While at Tunak we did the Sunrise Hike they offered. This involved an early start, but was worth every second. The staff took us in their 4x4 from the lobby at 5am taking us up the hills to a local beach, we then had a short 15-20 minute hike (so accessible for lots) and sat on the edge of the cliff. Our guide & a staff member from the kitchen team kindly brought 2 camping chairs + pop up table and served us lovely fruit, pastries & coffee while the sun rose.

We loved seeing the deer, who were so lovely and sweet. We often saw the peacocks being let out to roam freely for a period of time each day. We know deer are different, but questioned whether they also get released at any point to have more space/roam freely. We consider ourselves huge animal lovers (the animals at Tunak from the bunnies to the wild monkeys really made our stay) but we felt a little uncomfortable at the idea of the deer only being within their enclosure.
