Entire home in Cheswick Village

The house was spacious and very clean. Beds were all comfortable and there were fans in the rooms to help with the heat. A welcome feature was the bathroom/WC on every floor. There were several shops and restaurants nearby so you could get anything you needed without going too far. The off-road parking was a bonus. Close to motorway links which worked for us as we were visiting several places during our stay. It was a fair way out of the centre which meant it was nice and quiet of an evening, but the bus journey was 40mins if you wanted to go into town.

Not much was wrong with the property. The only thing we didn't have was a welcome/instruction book which we have had at some properties. When it came time to leave, we didn't know where the bins were or if we needed to strip the beds (some hosts ask you do this). Otherwise, it was one of the best places we have stayed.

I couldn't be happier with the 5 houses I stayed at during my second trip around the southern part of Great Britain! From now on, I've decided I will never book apartments or hotels for my travels in the UK again. This one in Bristol, which I picked specifically for the balloon festival, was absolutely fantastic. It's spotlessly clean, parking is super convenient, and there's a supermarket right at the doorstep. My kids absolutely loved the books, toys and the swivel sofa the host provided — not to mention the six bars of chocolate left for us! The living room has a full leather sofa that's clearly been used for years, yet it's kept in immaculate condition. The whole house is really spacious, and every single corner is dust-free — even my own home isn't this tidy! There's even a blackberry tree right outside the front door, and the electronic lock made checking in and out totally hassle-free.

The mattress protector is waterproof. I felt very hot when I woke up, and it made a crinkling plastic-bag rustling sound every time I moved. While I totally understand this is done for hygiene reasons, it was indeed not very comfortable to sleep on. Besides, it would be absolutely perfect if a dishwasher could be added to the house.

La mancanza dell’aria condizionata è una grossa pecca. La stanza all’ultimo piano era praticamente inagibile. I ventilatori non sono sufficienti. So che nel Regno Unito non fa mai tanto caldo, ma in casi occasionali come questo l’aria condizionata è necessaria. La doccia del bagno all’ultimo piano necessita di un tappetino antiscivolo. È molto pericolosa.
