We gad a great stay at the apartment. The view is really nice and its not a long way to Funchal. The riad is a bit tricky but you'll get used to it.

Carolina was a great host! The place was clean and so peaceful up on the mountain side near the airport. Under 30 min drive to the main trails or Funchal. The only downside is the roads leading up to the property were quite steep and narrow-you definitely have to be a decent driver. Cannot wait to stay there again.

The host is nice and made check-in and check-out easy. Well equipped kitchen and the necessities are all included (towels, blankets, garbage bags, toilet paper). At first glance, the property looks clean, but after closer examination we noticed a lot of live ants on the counters, mold in the bathroom and there was a constant sewer odour coming from the bathroom drains. The location is very remote and in very steep terrain. Getting to and from the house isn't easy, even for local Uber drivers.We still enjoyed our stay.
