Quiet cozy 1 bedroom 1 bathroom just 2 blocks from beautiful beaches!

First I want to say I am so grateful I had such a sweet, attentive, prompt, and helpful host.I will be honest to other travelers that the neighborhood itself may seem a bit run down. This house and a couple houses across the road are definitely the nicest on the block, but it was very quiet, very safe, and the neighbors on the street are super friendly and kind.Once you are inside, it’s a super cozy and comfortable space. The bed is crazy comfortable compared to a couple other places we’ve stayed in PR. The shower actually gets warm, the couple other places didn’t really have warm water. There’s an awesome gate on the front patio area which was wonderful bc I had a small dog. I could sit out front and let her roam around safely, sniff other dogs passing, and stare at roosters.My boyfriend and my favorite beach is maybe a 5 minute drive away. There’s an adorable cafe called Simple about 5 minutes down the road as well, with many other awesome restaurants within 20 minute or less driving distance.Most of which allowed us to bring our small dog in. My boyfriend and I are also skydivers and this was conveniently located less than 20 minutes away from Skydive Puerto Rico. The beach close by is where skydivers will occasionally land.I was mostly impressed by how the host reacted to an unanticipated power outage. Something no one can really control. We got very frustrated at one point, but she kept communicating with us and the power company very well. It all worked out.

More like a large studio with no divider between bedroom and kitchen. Lots of light. No shades or blinds. Kitchen table was too small. No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sink. Electric heater for shower which worked well. An extra house key would be helpful. Seemed a little expensive compared to other places we stayed in Puerto Rico, .but maybe you can negotiate. Lots of dogs barking and roaming around but not dangerous. Some broken down cars on the street and abandoned buildings but we felt very safe walking around the neighborhood. Neighbors were friendly. Roosters and doves clucking and cooing may keep you awake but I'm a very light sleeper. Good grocery store/restaurant around the corner. Wife loved the salami sandwich. Had one there and one to go for plane ride home. Some good truck food on 681 on way into town.
