Captivating in Camden - A Well-located Family Haven

Lovely clean, light, welcoming and well presented home (especially after a long drive!) Quality furnishings and an extremely well equipped and roomy kitchen - the only thing “missing” was a pair of longer handled tongs for when you are using the BBQ and, perhaps, another smaller sized saucepan, as everything else you could even imagine needing was there! So much so that there was no spare cupboards or shelves to put our own things like groceries and treats. Not a major issue though as there is a significant amount of bench space. Best of all for us, there was a dishwasher, something we are not used to having available to us. Very nice laundry for our use complete with washing machine and clothes airer as well as pegs for the clothes line in warmer weather. We were impressed there was a double laundry trough, a clothes basket and a hamper for dirty clothes too. The seperate toilet had a hand rail which is great for older people and those with balancing issues! I firmly believe ALL hotel accommodation places should have a hand rail in toilets, showers and baths to help avoid falls, particularly on tiles and wet surfaces. Bathroom was equipped with very large, soft towels (two each for use throughout our stay) and it had a bath for our grandsons enjoyment as well as adequate storage for our items and a seperate shower. Toiletries provided were of excellent quality and delightful aromas. Large table and comfortable chairs in the dining area, a great couch and a reclining chair in the lounge with coffee tables to allow you to watch TV or rest in comfort. The master bedroom was of an extremely generous size with a large comfortable bed, plenty of pillows and storage space. The second bedroom had two large single beds, a desk and office chair and wardrobe for storage of items. Outdoors was a BBQ and table and chairs for casual meals and car parking on site. The owners / manager was in regular contact to ensure our needs were being met.

Nothing not to like; great location … easy walking distance to public transport and convenient location for shops as well as good access to travel on our day trips.
