Virdamuri - Etna Country Resort

The host welcomed us with drinks and sat with us to explain all the various touring options. The hospitality was just amazing. The place is highly well maintained and is lovely. They also spoiled us with free breakfast !

The staff were absolutely excellent. Helpful and knowledgeable, nothing seemed to be too much to ask. The property itself is beautifully laid out with a delightful pool area and attractive gardens. The rooms were well equipped and very comfortable. The breakfast was generous and offered a wide choice. Overall an excellent visit

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Virdamuri Etna Resort. It was the perfect choice for our family, particularly as it is a small and peaceful resort that never felt overly busy or crowded. Our accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a kitchen and all the utensils we needed to prepare quick lunches and meals for our fussy children. It really felt like a home away from home and was perfect for us as a family. The pool was fantastic — beautifully maintained and rarely too busy, which we really appreciated. The size of the resort meant that it always felt relaxed and peaceful, even around the pool. The location is also excellent if you hire a car. It made it easy for us to explore Taormina, Catania, Mount Etna, Alcantara Gorge, the beaches and surrounding villages. It is also possible to visit Syracuse and Noto, which are a little further afield but still very accessible by car. The staff were truly exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible holiday experience. Breakfast was lovely, fresh and plentiful, and we particularly appreciated the staff’s recommendations for places to eat and visit. Their local knowledge was invaluable and helped us discover some fantastic places. We also had a few unexpected events during our holiday, including delayed flight home, and Lella and Flavia went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make things as easy as possible for us. Their kindness and helpfulness really stood out and made such a difference to our stay. We absolutely loved our time in Sicily, and Virdamuri Etna Resort is without a doubt one of the best accommodations we have stayed in during our holidays. We would happily return and would highly recommend it to others.  A huge thank you to everyone who works at the resort, and especially to Lella and Flavia, for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable!
