The Hideout Samui

- the location is something i actually really enjoyed! its really quiet and about a 30 minute walk to the main street, but you can easily rent a bike to get around much easier - the pool is really nice, but i feel like it might need a change of water… it feels kind of sour on your lips. - kitchen/bar area with a tv (with netflix already on it), sandwich maker etc and its really nice to just chill there a bit - drinking water available!!

- the dorm got overbooked at least twice while i was there so some people actually had to share beds - no running water for an entire day once when you flush the toilet the water rums just yellow? really weird - no curtains for the beds (if you have a bottom bunk you can put your towel up for privacy tho). in my opinion thats a huge flaw, especially because it is a 16 people mixed dorm - if you drive a bike and come back to the hotel, especially at night, theres a good chance you will literally be chased by dogs. it’s really dangerous actually, someone in our dorm got bitten and had to go to the hospital for it. especially at night that is extremely scary. - the owner was really rude and honestly just made me feel kind of uncomfortable the entire time.

No curtains in dormitory

The swimming pool is a big highlight. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean.

The location is both a pro and a con. If you drive a scooter then is grand but if you need to walk everywhere it takes about 25mins to get to the main road with shops and restaurants. On the other hand, it is a secluded place and very peaceful. As most day tours provide pick up service is not much of an issue.
