The first bank vault in Puerto Rico (and the new world) is just one of the rooms in this luxury, two level penthouse located in the diamond district of Old San Juan!
The Space:
This listing is on the 2nd and 3rd level of the first bank (vault still intact) in Old San Juan.
The 2nd level has 3 separate units (total of 5 bedrooms) that all join to other in a foyer and can also be closed off to have a more private setting. Each unit has their own Kitchen ( or Kitchenette), Bathroom, Living, Dining and Bedrooms.
On the 3rd floor you have 4 additional bedrooms, also including bathrooms, kitchen, dinning room (seats 6) 1500 sqft private to the unit City View deck with grill, couches and sun loungers.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire unit other that the maids/owners closet. DO NOT close the fave door, it is an antique.
The Neighborhood:
Located in historic Old San Juan.
**If the water does go out it is very important to not drain the cistern (which has approximately 600 gallons) we recommend to not take showers only use it for the toilets. Until you have heard from us that the water company has restored service. If all of the water in the cistern is used and you want more delivered the fee is $450.
Getting Around:
Uber available within a few minutes of making a request. Food, bars, pharmacy and grocery is all within a few blocks of the property.
Other Things to Note:
Local/ On-Island bookings will be approved on a case by case basis
This pricing on this property is set up to accommodate both smaller and larger groups. Please be sure to enter in your correct amount of guests when booking.
As a Boutique Hotel we have an online check-in Process though Charge Automation.
We will always try to accommodate an early check in request but because this is a large and busy listing that will not always be possible.
An early Check-in / Late Check-out will always require a $300.00 additional fee.
If you are going to request up grades such as Early Check -In / Late Check - Out this will be done though the link sent via Charge Automations.
Incase of unforeseen circumstances we encourage guests to buy trip insurance.
MOST ALL OTHER hotels and houses in Old San Juan will require that you to put your toilet paper in a waste bin. If you don’t you will find yourself in serious ____. It’s because they have like 100 year old cast iron sewage pipes that catch everything.
WITH US, you can flush your toilet paper (please be mindful and gentle). We changed all the cast iron with regulation schedule 40 pvc, like we are on the mainland.

This was an amazing property right in the heart of Old San Juan, within seconds of shopping, bars, and great restaurants. The hosts were all great to work with -- if even the most minor of issues arose, they were reachable within minutes and extremely quick to respond. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a very well-done, updated space in a super cool area of the island -- i would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We celebrated my 50th birthday with 10 friends at Diamond Vault Penthouse. The location was walkable to shopping, cafes and bars. The condo was perfect for giving people their own living space while still having a lot of common areas to get together to socialize. Would highly recommend!

Overall, I can say it was easy to book, communicate with the host , access the property with no issues. I was A bit upset and confused on how the rooms were set up, the pictures of the description of the house does not show how the rooms are set up in the house. There are not three floors just a large stairway to the entry which is counted as a floor. (Get ready to go up and down ALOT upstairs) There are absolutely no microwaves in any Of the kitchens which was a huge inconvenience. But I can say, anything we need help with there was no issue communicating with Host and getting expeditious response. Also the house was very clean and around a lot of great locations that was walking distance.
