Motorcyclists & Drivers: 30 minutes to the Tail of the Dragon (Hwy 129) and the Cherohala Skyway.
Water Lovers: Close to Fontana Lake and the Nantahala River for white-water rafting, kayaking, and boating.
Nature Lovers: Minutes from the ancient trees of Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest.

Please note that the road up to the cabin is a gravel road. The turn into the driveway to the cabin is also gravel and a bit steep. We do welcome motorcycles but want to make guests aware because everyone has their own comfort level. We do not recommend low clearance sports cars and large trailers.

The place could’ve been a little cleaner. The refrigerator was left dirty but other than that we had a great stay. Would I stay in that cabin again probably not not a very good view that’s the only reason and also not enough room in the bedrooms. The bedrooms are very small no dressers and no TVs. The shower in the master bath is really small the washer and dryer in the basement is not very convenient the road going up to the place without four-wheel-drive. It would be hard to make it up there. We had our motorcycles and we got up there, but it wasn’t very fun. Other than that I give Camp Yauna 3 1/2 stars out of five only because you can’t see nothing for a view and the small bedrooms other than that, it was perfect. We did enjoy our stay and I would recommend for anyone to stay there. It is a good getaway if you wanna be away from everybody and in nature.

We had a great time on our stay here, and it was just a short ride to the dragon and town. The only issue I had was with the driveway going in the cabin property was super tough to get a small trailer in with the bikes. Other than that I don’t have any complaints and I will stay here again in the future!
