The House in Meadow Vista was truly magical. The house is located on 12 acres of wooded property overlooking the Bear river. The views were breathtaking and walking trails are abundant. The house is nicely decorated and well stocked. There was great positive energy in the home and it was very comfortable and relaxing. The property immediately around the house is fully fenced so our pups could roam freely without worry. The hot tub and outdoor shower were fabulous as well. During our stay we experienced a plethora of different wildlife. We saw deer, fox, vultures, humming birds, frogs, bats and we were constantly serenaded by many different bird species. There is a map of the property trails and we explored them all. We hiked down to the river which was a fun adventure. You will need to be able to do a bit of climbing to get down there. Host communication was friendly and prompt. Any questions or concerns were immediately answered or addressed. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property for your visit to the area. It is centrally located to all that Auburn and Colfax have to offer and the town of Meadow Vista is nice and friendly.

Loved our stay! The view was worth it all and the home was comfortable, clean and well equiped. Peaceful, quiet area but still close to a few options for restuarants in Meadow Vista or easy access to 80 to explore elsewhere. We had trouble signing on to the tv to, Wifi worked but not super strong, but it was actually kind of nice to not automatically turn to that for entertainment. Tons of games and cards to choose from. Our dog loved exploring the fenced in yard and it was fun to take the trails down to the pond and river. Spring is a bit buggy but to be expected and the host provided lots of options for sprays and lotions.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home with amazing views. We took advantage of the hot tub daily and watched the river from the deck. We cooked dinner every night in the well-stocked kitchen. We hope to return soon!
