Camisila

A beautifully appointed flat with spacious and large bedrooms and living spaces. Well organised kitchen and dining and sitting area. Short walk to the centre of town.

Many of the adjacent properties are empty and beginning to look a little derelict in places.. presumably these will be developed in due course, but it does make the area seem unusually scruffy. Not a fault of the host and the flat is lovely....

Das Appartement war frisch renoviert und gut ausgestattet. Alles sehr sauber und neu. Die Lage war ruhig. Wir waren bereits einige Stunden vor Check In in Campbeltown angekommen und haben das Auto vor der Unterkunft geparkt. Ein zufälliger Kontakt mit der freundlichen Vermieterin ermöglichte uns einen früheren Check In. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt neben der GlenScotia Destillerie und fussläufig zu Springbanks, Cadenheads und Glengyle, was für unsere Whiskytour günstig war;-) Klare Weiterempfehlung

Campbeltown selbst hat uns als Stadt eher abgeschreckt: überall verfallene Häuser und viel Leerstand. Es wirkte wie eine sterbende Stadt. Auch die Unterkunft Camisila liegt in einem alten Häuserblock mit viel Leerstand. Umso positiver waren wir dann vom Inneren der Unterkunft überrascht

Very spacious and clean

The mattresses were the only thing that let this property down. They were mine, (first bedroom on the left) it was like sleeping on a bed of rocks, impossible to get a good night sleep.
