I was a female solo traveler, coming to visit my friend, so I was looking for something that wasn’t breaking the bank. I felt very safe around the city, I arrived very late, but the property manager was ok with checking me in late (around 00:30). We met very close to the property and he led me to it, showed me the house for a minute and left me the keys. He doesn’t speak English but he speaks Portuguese and Spanish and is super understanding and nice. The property is perfect for 2 people, is clean and rustic, has a little fan inside the room and a type of AC in the kitchen (that I ended up not using), which were good for the type of humid weather you have in Tavira. I had towels so only bring your beach towel. The property is very close to the center, hence close to the place where you get the ferry to go to other islands!
It didn’t have windows inside the room, but the rest was perfect so it didn’t bother me at all

Si buscas un sitio donde ir a dormir y pasar el día fuera por un precio económico, es una buena opción. El dueño de la casa es muy amable
