AmazINN Places Casa Bandera II

The location is great. It’s right in the middle of Casco Viejo and steps from restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is spacious with room to spread out.

The apartment was not very clean. The floors were dirty, the couch is stained and there was a very strong smell of fried fish permeating the entire apartment when we arrived. We stayed for a week and despite all the cleaning we did and trying to air out the apartment, the smell never went away completely. We even bought a scented candle to help mask the smell. Also, the apartment could really use some maintenance and updating. It is definitely starting to show some wear.

The location of the property was great, with so many things that were within walking distance. The property itself was great for a family of four; everyone had enough room to move around. The host and maintenance staff were very hospitable and patient with us.

Not much to say in this area. Had to be patient, allowing time for hot water to reach the showers.

Cold water did not work in the Queen Bathroom - the cold water handle turned and turned without engaging the valve. They had to send a maintenance person who figured out that the valve could be engaged by turning the handle trim. Unbelievable that you would have to do this to turn on the water. Why not just fix it? The place had old stained furniture, some peeling paint and stained areas on walls where water obviously leaked. The place needs a good paint job for sure. The size of the place is substantial and the kitchen is reasonably stocked. The building is old as expected in the historical district, but it should certainly be cleaned up with decent furniture and paint. Beds were very comfortable.
