Across from Lima Airport - A y J Familia

We had a 5 hour overlay and instead of being stuck in the airport we booked two rooms. We watched a Netflix movie, walked to dinner Pizza Hut (kids) and KFC (adults) both were walking distance. When I returned to hostel I showered, a blow dryer, soap, shampoo, and towel were provided. The hostel provided pickup and drop off from the airport. I would definitely recommend!

Very friendly and accommodating hosts, despite the language barrier. This was a short stay to catch an early morning flight and chose this bnb as it's close to the airport and offered a free pick. However, the free pick is no longer available for new bookings. I was pleasantly surprised by the size, cleaning, and facilities in the room. The shared bathroom on the floor, seperate women and men was modern and clean. Plenty hot water. The breakfast was simple but good, eggs rolls, coffee milk to your room. There's an outlet mall and market within close walking distance. Overall, it was great for a short stay. The price/value point was excellent, considering the Holiday Inn is around the corner.

Just to note that this is a working class area. You will observe how the locals live. Judging by all the security measures taken, I would not recommend venturing out at night. The accommodation also has a steep staircase, which maybe a challenge for some. However, the host does assist with the luggage.

The price! It's simple and clean, but old.

They were angry that we weren't ready for the shuttle even though we told them that we needed to get the yellow fever vaccine first. The taxi left as we were walking out and we waited 45 minutes for him to come back. It took a while to get to the hostel from the airport (30 minutes).

15 minutes from the airport. Small but comfotrable bed. Speedy wifi . Punctual transfers to/from the airport.

2 bathrooms for 7 rooms on each floor. Seedy neibourghood,felt rather unsafe upon arrival late at night. Access to the room was via a flight of narrow steps. Reception was a cage like room behind bars. It kind of reminded me the hostels in lndia during the 80's ,but lacking the oriental charm.
