CASA TÔMBUA - Pool - Beach & Center 300m - AC - WiFi

The hosts were outstanding. Miriam and Filipe went above and beyond and made our stay memorable. Their apartment is even better than the pictures, we loved everything, it was very spacious and comfortable, the pool was really great and it was very easy to move around. We were a bit unlucky because the beach wasn’t appropriate for swimming due to an algae infestation, but we still had a great time, we enjoyed trails around the region, and with the pool we didn’t really feel we were missing anything. We forgot a notebook with huge sentimental value, and Miriam was so kind to send it via post. She has a keen eye for detail, very attentive and is reachable with fast responses when needed. I absolute recommend this place and would love to be back. Thank you Miriam & Filipe!

This is rare, but I really have nothing to say here. It’s 10/10

Location was great. Lots of conveniences. Even a clothesline.

The third floor was an actually the fourth floor up. Quite a haul for three women in their 70’s. Also, the washing machine was leaking water into the floor.

Wspaniały apartament i lokalizacja. Spędziliśmy w nim tydzień (2 pary) - nie możemy na nic narzekać. Apartament wyposażony we wszystkie niezbędne udogodnienia. Stały kontakt z właścicielem. Czysto i komfortowo. Położenie - w samym centrum niewielkiego, uroczego miasteczka z niewielką ale uroczą plażą niemal w samym centrum. W okolicy bardzo bezpiecznie, sporo sklepów, marketów i restauracji. Byliśmy w marcu - dookoła trwało sporo remontów i renowacji - ale to tylko dowód na to, że dbają tam o turystów. Carvoeiro jest położone niemal w środku Algarve i jest doskonałym miejscem do eksploracji całego regionu - zwłaszcza jeśli dysponuje się samochodem. Nie mieliśmy problemów z parkowaniem - dookoła jest sporo bezpłatnych miejsc do parkowania.

Central location - we have stayed in this area for 25+ years we needed to be accessible to restaurants etc as the couple we were travelling with needed easy access re mobility. Lots of parking available close to the property.

3rd floor wasn’t an issue for us, however it wouldn’t be for anyone less mobile. ( couple with us struggled) Few issues: Mains bathroom toilet flush stayed on - We had to be contacted whilst out as running water was reported. Towels: we only had a four night stay, however we had no change of towels, two showers per day and damp towels had to be used. The weather wasn’t warm enough to hang out Shower: Unfortunately we had mostly cold showers we think due to the sun not heating the water ( last day we all managed warm showers) Shower - Ensuite bathroom: continually blocked ( just needs a drain block gel )
