About this lodge
Welcome to our Overlook Lodge location (one of 8 Grafton Getaway Guesthouses) where we sleep up to 35 guests on our 33 acre property overlooking Lockhaven Public Golf Course and the Mississippi River Valley. This one a kind property hosts many special events such as family reunions, corporate retreats, weddings, church groups, yoga retreats, and team building retreats. The Lodge is just 12 minutes from the quaint river town of Grafton IL and just 40 minutes from Lambert Airport in St. Louis MO. At all locations we hope to host your next couples, family, or group getaway or special event.
The long driveway is shared with our Cottage location which is to the north of the Lodge and which is a separate stay. It can be rented in conjunction with the Lodge at a separate price...please inquire.
Guests at hotels call the front desk when they need something...if ever during your stay you feel your satisfaction is not at a 5-star level please call/text right away, while you are still with us, so we can remedy the situation and make your stay all you hoped it would be.

From beginning to end, our experience was wonderful!First, the host was incredibly attentive and responsive, patiently answering all of our questions before the trip and making sure we felt completely prepared for our stay.Second, Grafton Lodge was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It fit all of our needs perfectly and was incredibly comfortable, spacious, and relaxing. There was so much to enjoy both inside and outside the lodge. One thing you absolutely cannot miss is watching the sunrise from the deck off the kitchen—it was breathtaking!We also saw an amazing variety of wildlife during our stay, including eagles, deer, turkeys, skunks, snakes, and turtles. It truly added to the whole experience!Finally, if you have never visited Grafton, I highly recommend taking the time to explore the town. Walk around, browse the shops, ride the ski lift and roller coaster, grab a bite to eat at the Oyster Bar, and stop by Lighthouse Coffee Shop for a coffee and muffin. The Brown Sugar Shaken Latte was far better than the chain coffee shop that starts with an “S”—a word that is apparently not allowed to be spoken inside their quaint establishment!Grafton Lodge was the perfect place for our getaway. So many wonderful memories were made, and we would happily stay here again!

Spent a week here, lots of room to spread out, beautiful property! Perfect spot, right between Grafton & Alton...giving lots of options for restaurants & shopping. Brandon was a great host ...very attentive & welcoming !
