About this house rental
Cocoonr offers you this charming house for rent in Castillon-la-Bataille. Spanning 280 m² on two levels, this exceptional residence boasts panoramic terraces overlooking the Dordogne and a private swimming pool, all in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards. Ideal for eight people, the property also includes a prestigious garden. The owners live in the adjoining outbuilding.
The accommodation comprises
Ground floor:
- Beautiful entrance hall giving access to a magnificent covered terrace, equipped with a reception table (for eight people) and a pleasant art deco lounge, a magnificent garden with swimming pool (salted and unheated), as well as two deckchairs and various lounges overlooking the Dordogne on the front line
First floor (accessed via a staircase):
- A 60 m² living room with a comfortable lounge with two sofas, a television, a dining table, a fireplace and a superb fully-equipped open-plan kitchen (oven, dishwasher, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster, hob ...... and all the equipment you need to cook your meals)
- A 50 m² terrace with exceptional views, including a dining table for six people and a convivial area.
- Two double bedrooms (bed 140x190)
- A shower room
- A master suite with open-plan bathroom (bed 160x200)
- A separate WC
On the second level (accessible via a staircase):
- A bedroom on a 50 m² plateau with 1 unusual queen-size bed (160×200), a magnificent shower room entirely open onto the bedroom and an adjoining WC
- An incredible 40 m² private terrace, equipped with a comfortable lounge, offering a breathtaking view over the garden and the Dordogne, out of sight of everyone
Outside:
- Three terraces
- A private, salt water, unheated swimming pool (8.5x3m), accessible only during the summer months.
- A magnificent garden and all the furniture you need to make the most of every moment
Castel de Castillon is ideally located in Castillon-la-Bataille, in very pleasant surroundings.
Just ten kilometres from Saint Emilion and 60 kilometres from Bordeaux, you'll find all the essential shops nearby.

Exceptional property very tastefully furnished and equipped. We were met by Gaby who showed us around. The location overlooks the canal and the swimming pool was a real bonus. The town is fairly quiet but we enjoyed just going for walks to see the vineyards and local attractions. Bread and croissants were a short walk away and the restaurant on the other side of the canal did a good meal with wine followed by dancing which was entertaining.All in all this was a great place to stay and you will not be disappointed.

Le Castel de Castillon "Gaby’s home in Castillon La Bataille could not have been more perfect. The house is so beautiful - the decor is very stylish, the temperature inside was always cool and it was so comfortable wherever we relaxed.
A beautiful pool area, with lots of seating, sun and shade (our dog was very pleased!) so clean and perfect for our daily swims!
We used Gaby’s home as the perfect base to explore the area, catching a stage of the Tour de France, visiting St Emilion, nearby caves and buying some excellent Bordeaux wines direct from the vineyard.
The town itself was very quiet apart from market day and we found much of it closed up day and night. But Gaby’s lovely house more than made up for that, as it was fabulously equipped for cooking at home too. And Gaby was the perfect host, so friendly, welcoming and helpful with our questions. Thank you so much Gaby."

Le Castel de Castillon A great place to stay to relax and access the wine region of St Emillion. The terrace and salt water pool are great. Excellent proximity to great supermarkets. Well stocked kitchen has everything you need.

Le Castel de Castillon Our host Gaby was delightful and you could see the hard work that had gone into to updating the property which was absolutely lovely and the pool an added bonus. The location worked for us to explore the surrounding area by car or train as the station was walkable.
