At Cast Away Bay, your comfort and convenience are our top priorities. Enjoy the comforts of home with provided Wi-Fi and streaming services. The lower level features a cozy second living room where you can curl up and relax, perfect for those rainy days. The fully stocked kitchen allows for effortless entertaining and the enjoyment of homecooked meals. We also provide toiletries, paper towels, bedding, and bath towels, ensuring a hassle-free stay.
On the clear nights experience a delightful evening beneath the starry skies, gazing out over the peaceful lake while gathered around a crackling campfire. Firewood is provided for your convenience.
Muskellunge Lake, spanning across 270 acres, is well-known for its excellent fishing and ample space for water sports. Cast a line from the dock or take the boat out to reel in panfish, bass, musky, northern pike, and walleye! To enhance your lake enjoyment, we provide adult kayaks, kids kayaks, a canoe, and a paddleboard. Additionally, the sandy bay on the east side of the lake is a great spot for swimming and leisurely water activities.
Cast Away Bay is not just a summer haven; it offers an unforgettable winter experience as well. With direct access to over 500 miles of snowmobile trails and 30 miles of silent sport trails waiting to be explored, there's endless fun to be had out your front door. When you're ready for a change of pace, downtown Eagle River is just minutes away, offering a variety of dining options. Alternatively, take a scenic 20-minute drive to Minocqua and immerse yourself in the charm of local shops
ATV/Snowmobile trails are 0.1 miles away, accessible directly from the property on snow packed roads. Parking space for two 30' trailers and trucks in front of the cabin, and a 20' trailer and truck in the parking space across the street.

An extension cord is provided to recharge boat batteries at the dock.

There are outdoor security cameras that are turned off upon arrival and turned back on at departure time. Please note that outdoor amenities are seasonal and may be snow covered.

This was our second stay at Cast Away Bay and we will be back in 2027! Traveling with 6 adults and 4 littles - ages 2-8 years - we don't feel cramped. There is plenty of table space for meals and the littles enjoy sitting at raised kitchen counter. The fishing is great off the pier, and there are so many great options for beaches close by (Eagle River Park, and Crystal Lake are both fantastic). We also appreciate that the cottage is in a very quiet area (dead end street) but close enough to both St. Germaine and Eagle River to enjoy the run of golf carts, mini golf, ice cream, shopping, etc. We enjoy using the paddle boat and sturdy kayaks provided. We also rent a pontoon for the week from Boat Sport Marina, which allows us to go anywhere on the lake and float. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!

Overall the property fit our needs for the week. Clean, organized, great kitchen equipment, wonderful deck furniture. Plenty of sleeping accommodations for our family. Appreciated that clean towels and sheets were furnished.Ryan's quick responses were amazing and very helpful!NOTE plenty of parking!Bottom line would rent this property again.Thank you Ryan for a GREAT VRBO!

This was a great space for our 2-3 family getaway (6-10) people. Plenty of rooms for families to sleep, lots of space for dining and lots of fun activities provided by the host including games, kayaks, paddle boats, firewood etc...The host was prompt in returning calls or texts if there were any issues. The exit from downstairs to the dock was easy for our more elderly parents to get to. The lake was dark at the time of year we were there and we caught just a few fish (bluegill and bass) but saw loons, turtles, lots of dragonflies, eagles and muskrats. The lake was very quiet when we were there, no jet skiers or race boats, just courteous fishermen and pontoons. We were courteous in kind, not wanting to disturb the peace. The lake is shallow so be conscious of that. The house was off a very quiet paved road where we saw countless deer, fox and porcupine along with other wild birds. It is close to St. Germain and Eagle River (about 10-15 mins in either direction) so we did a lot of shopping and dining out. It was a great time for our family.We'll check this house out again next year!

The host was great, let us get in before dark & very accommodating. The house was mediocre clean, some waste baskets not emptied, liquid soap from prior guest, no Kleenex, no toiletries, no serving dishes, we had to was pans before we used them.
