I should have read more carefully that there was no washing machine in the flat. One of the main reasons I booked this place was to visit the Danube River during a period of very high temperatures, and I really wanted the option to wash my clothes. A few things could definitely be improved to make the stay more comfortable, especially in summer: - The fridge is very small, which made it difficult to store enough food and drinks during the heatwave. - There wasn’t enough toilet paper or kitchen paper provided, and what was there was very thin and poor quality. - The bathroom had nearly empty bottles of shower gel and shampoo, which seemed like leftovers from previous guests rather than fresh supplies. - If you don’t keep the toilet door closed in the morning or evening, a bad smell comes into the flat. - The sofa is a nice feature, but the leather upholstery is uncomfortable on hot days and nights. - When we arrived, it was extremely hot (34°C) and there was no drinking water. A small free welcome basket with bottled water and a few essentials would have been a thoughtful touch to help guests settle in. - The air conditioner is in the hallway and doesn’t cool the living room, so there’s very little airflow in the main area — only the hallway and bedroom benefit from it. - There are no proper curtains in the living room, just sheer ones. Since the flat faces the main street, the noise from cars is constant if you leave the windows open. From around midday to the evening, the sun hits the windows directly, making the flat very hot. That said, the host did provide a fan, which was incredibly helpful and very much appreciated. With a few small improvements, this flat could be much more comfortable and enjoyable, especially in the summer season.
