The POD Suite Hostel Blasco

Was clean and quite. Good location close to centre and beach. A lot of transport near. As well as supermarket mercadona.

Not much space in fridge, but it depends on visitors.

The pods are fabulous, feel like you have enough space, and I think they do block out some noise of snoring more than typical hostels. I was perfectly comfortable with the temperature and aeration inside the pod and the room outside the pods and common areas were kept nice and cool. Self check-in was easy, and I want to give a major shoutout for the accessibility of the facility. They do have an elevator that you can access if needed, and the washroom was accessible. Location is excellent, very well connected to the buses and metro. If you're coming from the airport it's straight there on line #3 and you're about a 6 minute walk to the hostel on flat terrain. So easy! The staff were great and attentive to everything I needed - thank you!! Kept very clean and tidy. They provided a towel and there's a washer and dryer you can use for free which was excellent.

I wish I could give one more point higher, but there was some major renovations happening in the studio beside the hostel. This of course isn't the hostel's fault, is out of their control, and I feel badly to have to rank my stay a little lower, but on the second night they started drilling before 8am. Nobody got much sleep after that. The work/drilling/hammering continued all day so I couldn't do much work in the common area either. The kitchen is ALMOST adequate, if there were a few more things there it would be so perfect. At the moment it just has a microwave, kettle, and very little in the way of utensils, so you have to cut things with dull butter knives. If the hostel invested in some proper kitchen knives, a toaster and maybe even a hot plate with two burner elements - it would be 5/5 stars!! I realize most people don't cook when they come to Valencia considering all the amazing restaurant options but it's nice to have the choice, especially for breakfast :)

The receptionist was super friendly and helpful - she helped with the solutions to cover the facilities malfunctions. Location is great!

Objective cons: - the hostel provides you with the lockers for your stuff, but the only working ones are on the first floor. So u r stuck in going up and down to get your clothes and utensils - most of the furniture gave a “tired” feeling - malfunctioned lockers, the shower had no pressure for the hot water (worked just fine in the sink), my keys (I had a key cuz there were no working wristbands available) worked every other 5-6th time. - pod curtains — surprisingly, they were quite loud when used and inconvenient at all - they did not block all the light, but also did not serve as a safe door - stuffy pods — when the curtain is closed the pod gets super stuffy (at least mine did), the ventilation inside it produced more noise (and oh boy it was noisy) then air - stupid lights — each time someone’s living the room they turn brighter (probably to aid people locate a very obvious door), but at night it turns into a disco and u all are in it - a shower and a toilet is one room. If u decided you want to pee you’ll have to wait till the other person ends their shower Subjective cons: This is mine subjective opinion, I would not hold the facility accountable for that but I believe it is importantly to share my experience with other solo female travellers: I did not feel safe at this hostel. - it’s mixed rooms up to 8 people and BOY did men peeked into my CLOSED pod after 10 pm. Not once, not twice!!! Coincidentally, women did not have a problem with the concept of a closed door. So do not go without a good old pjs inside your pod even if the curtain is closed - to my surprise, men frequent female bathroom while the male’s was vacant. I might sound paranoid, but after Asia I’m super reluctant to go shower after a man was there and did stuff I do not know about

The “pods” are big enough to be comfortable, sheets and pillow was clean. Room and common area was also clean. Very nice location.

The ventilation in the rooms, and especially in the toilet and bathroom are not good. Also both showers were almost fully clogged, the floor filled with water within seconds. One of the toilets were also clogged and leaking all over the bathroom for 2 days. The access to apartment after 22:00 is tricky and it’s an important part which is not mentioned in the description.

the whole place is quite small, which makes the toilets, kitchen stove and beds be very close to each other. As you can imagine, the mix of smells is not always pleasant.

The building isn’t super easy to access late at night.

This was my second stay at this hostel and was exactly how I remembered it last time. Everything was clean and tidy. I was lucky with people and room was super quiet. Pods are big, modern and comfortable.

Everything was great

Very clean, loved the privacy of the electronic blinds in the room, lockers available, can wash and dry clothes and you can press your clothes. Everything has perfectly been thought through for the whole experience. Additionally, when I had a query the WhatsApp that provided I got a response super quickly.

I was already aware, but it’s seriously not a big deal but having some sort of outdoor space would have made it even more amazing. However the quality of the facilities made up for this.

Very clean, quiet and good location. It is all digitalised and personalised. Sofia at reception was really nice and helpful.

Had great facilities including washing machine and dryer, microwave and fridge. You just need to be careful with putting stuff in the fridge as i was robbed of my food.

the check in and out was easy

There was only one bathroom/shower/toilet for female guests, so sometimes had to wait a while to use. The common area was also always very bright.

Lovely and private bed space, clean facilities and within walking distance of all the central towns. Beach was a little further but even that was less than an hour walk away! Felt very safe for a solo female traveller. Kitchen space and bathrooms were so nice for a hostel. Beds were very comfortable and I love the little pod idea!

The only negatives I could say is the hostel is not very sociable, and very few people spoke to one another - that being said this is advertised as a quiet hostel so that was expected anyway! There was also an issue with some people not being provided information for self check in ahead (so just make sure you drop them a message in the days before if you haven’t received one) - but even then staff were so quick to come and help!

Loved how smooth the check in process was! The pods themselves are super private, cosy and well thought through. The bathrooms are kept very clean with nice additional products like the flip flops and products in showers.

The aircon wasn’t very strong and I was hot whilst trying to sleep.

Nice shared place. Really great vibes! The bed is comfortable!

At least one shelf would be great in the capsule.

Epic stay

Nice and clean, toilets were clean too. Check-in was easy. There is no staff but the chat responses come very quickly so there were no issues at all, they even allowed us early entry, but we didn't end up using it.

I stayed in many hostels in the past and I always knew what I was walking into; noise, chaos, not so clean. However, I decide to give it a shot when I came across this Hostel. I saw the photos and read the reviews and somehow I believed it could be a new experience for me. I spent a couple of nights and I loved it. Quiet, clean, special and the staff were great, which I happened to see coming late one evening. They were friendly and conversational. I loved the format. If i ever go back to Valencia, I know where to stay. You bet!

Private and secure. Stable wifi. Bed linen, towels and shampoo/gel provided. Even have hair dryers and flip-flops. Lockers with keys provided. Super friendly staff.

“Kitchen” has only a fridge, kettle and microwave, and no cups are provided for making hot drinks. Some may find location a negative, but for me it was perfect.

The dimension of the pod and the location are alright.

All in the hostel was not very clean, especially for what it concerns the bathroom. It is quite small and the living room/ kitchen is on the same floor of the bedrooms, meaning that if people keep drinking and talking during the night it easily becomes annoying for people trying to sleep in the bedrooms. The absence of staff makes the whole experience a bit soulless.

Checking in was effortless. The hostel was very clean and the bed was fantastic. The staff were amazingly friendly.

Everything

It was my first time staying in a hostel. I am very grateful for the great attitude, for meeting me on the street, guiding me, and showing me how everything works. I am very grateful to be able to leave things in a locked locker until 3 p.m. the next day. My room was for 6 people women. All the ladies respected the quiet and privacy and I didn't feel any difficulty being in a shared room. The sleeping box is very spacious and the mattress and pillow are comfortable. The roller shutter provides privacy, inside the box there is control over the light and movement of the outer roller shutter. The bathroom is spacious and includes not only a shower and toilet but also convenient makeup areas. I can say my stay was wonderful.

all was perfect

I only stayed here for a few hours (from 11PM to 8AM). I just needed a place to stay for the night so I didn't really see every facility in the property. The bed is comfortable, they've provided towels and bed sheet. The bathrooms have shower gels and tissues filled up. The common area and the bathroom is very clean. The self checkin is really convenient, I just wish there's still a 24 reception service but maybe its unnecessary.

The pods are not ventilated well enough. I went to Valencia on a warm September. It was very warm in the pods and theres no way to control the ventilation system. I was fanning myself the entire night because I was sweating.

Everything was perfect!

Everything was clean and new, bathroom is big and spacious - 2 toolets and showers for 6 persons room. All the space is very stylish, with attention to details. You receive 2 towels for free, there is shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, even new flip-flops for those, who need them. You have pretty big your private space in the capsule, inside the is electronic management of curtains and light, the mattress and pillow is very comfortable. There is big dining area with a fridge and microvave. You can leave your luggage for free before check-in or after check-out. The entrance to the hostel & room is for your pan digital code. What I recommend - to have earplugs - like in all hostels guests arę having different scheduleds. Generally I liked everything! Great place to stay :-) I will come back for next trip to Valencia.

I missed the electric kettle and some cuttlery to be able to eat own food.
