La Casa del Guarda 4*

La Casa del Guarda is a beautiful house in a cute village near the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, north of Madrid. We came for the eclipse - it's not an area I had heard of before - but would definitely like to return. The house is spacious, well appointed, stylish and super clean. All the bedrooms are lovely. It's got views over to the national park - a great area for woodland and mountain walks, and even skiing in winter. The village itself is a picturesque little place with three restaurants - we only managed to try one but the food was good and it's a short drive to Segovia which has everything you could need or want and central Madrid is only about 75m drive away. Our host Barbara was proactive, responsive and made sure we had a great stay. Highly recommended!

The pool was a bit bitty with vegetation - but Barbara got it cleaned for us on request. It's a great addition though - especially when it's hot and our party used it most days so don't let this put you off.

Pues es difícil decir algo que no nos gustara. Por decir algo, falta espacio para una piscina de verdad.

Espectacular casa. Tiene todo lo necesario para sentirte como en casa. No falta detalle. La anfitriona siempre atenta a todo detalle.
