Serene Mattapoisett Home w/ Private Beach Access!

Prachtig huis aan zee. Het was nog mooier dan op de foto's! Veranda, zee, uitzicht, woonkamer allemaal mooi. We hadden toevallig een opvallend goedkope week (2e week oktober) en daardoor was het nog fijner.

Voor ons (2 personen) was het prima. Maar als je met 8 personen bent slapen er vier op twee stapelbedden in één kamer. En de laatste twee in het souterrain wat ook een gezamenlijke ruimte is.

Wonderful location- the beach was amazing and the area was serene.

We had a terrible experience upon arrival. There are Ring cameras at each entrance that are triggered by motion sensors. These cameras also record sound and I am assuming they alert the owners when someone arrives at the property. I only make this assumption because someone in our party had a service animal and we were notified almost immediately upon entering the driveway (via the management company- Maria) to either remove the animal or we would be evicted. The owner had alerted them that we had an animal he had seen on the Ring camera. While I understand that the property does not allow animals, I also believe it could have been handled more effectively. When I called the management company back- they were very helpful and assured us we could enter the property with the service animal. I do believe the owners should educate themselves with the ADA if they continue to rent their property. As far as our stay, it's a beautiful area and the beach is fantastic. I do believe the home could use some additional perks and work, if they are going to continue to charge the exorbitant rental rates they are charging. Pros: beach, serene neighborhood, beautifully decorated, view off the deck. Cons: deck needs work, the grill is older and very small, no fire pit on the beach, many stairs at the property, no guest policy without notifying the owner, being monitored by the owner (video/audio) at the front of the house and on the beach area.
