The outdoor spaces were good. Nice pool, tennis court (byo racquet etc), Shetland pony to talk to, swings and trampoline for the kids. The unit (we had bungalow no.1) was spacious, quite clean and the beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good.

Where do I start? If you are a bit on the short side (I am 5ft 2in) DON'T use the microwave. It is on such a high shelf that you are at serious risk of a scalding accident unless you get someone to help you lift items in and out. Likewise for the kitchen blind - the cord is up too high to use, and the kitchen light and exhaust fan switches were almost too high for me to reach. Given that there are beds for 6 people, the amount of crockery and cutlery provided was woefully lacking. Actually, the kitchen was very poorly equipped. No scissors, no tongs, no pasta server. The piece of chux provided to wash the dishes was so tiny that I didn't know whether to laugh or get furious. I think a normal chux had been cut into 4 pieces. We only got one of the pieces. The scourer sponge was also the tiniest one I have ever seen. I don't contact management to ask for things, who does? And anyway, at the price we paid, we shouldn't have to. So, I made the best of it. There was obviously a lot of cost-cutting going on but this should not be happening when you pay over $500 for a one-night stay. The saucepans do not have heatproof handles and yet there were no heatproof mitts. There were huge empty cupboards in this kitchen. A missed opportunity to provide a better-equipped experience for guests. The heater was VERY noisy and, although it was quite cold overnight, I had to turn the heater off because it was keeping me awake. The shower door does not close properly so the shower leaked all over the floor. Huge puddles everywhere. We paid an exorbitant sum of money to stay here and we could not wait to leave. I strongly urge the owners of this cottage to invest in a few small changes that will make a huge difference to the comfort of guests. And move the microwave to a lower shelf for safety's sake. Very disappointing.
