About this cottage rental
Our cozy retreat is a rustic, classic Plum Island cottage that sits on The Basin, with a private beach and stunning west facing sunset views over the water. The ocean trail is a block away, and you can be sitting on the beach in 5 minutes. For a fun bit of city life, downtown Newburyport is a 10 minute drive. Our home is fully furnished with Fire TV televisions in the living room and in the master bedroom, a well stocked kitchen, two bedrooms and a screened in wrap around porch facing the basin. All linens and towels, and 4 beach chairs are provided. The indoor bathroom has toilet, shower and sink, and there is another shower located outside. Newly installed heat pumps (living room and each bedroom) provide year-round heating and air conditioning. There is parking for four vehicles.

Our family loved our stay here. It has authentic New England beach house charm, upgraded with all of the modern amenities. The back porch has an incredible view of the sunset over the basin. Our kids loved going out into the basin when we weren’t doing a full beach day (but bring waterproof shoes with strong straps if you are going to walk into the basin!).

A true cottage with loads of charm but with every convenience and a well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds and a gas fired “wood stove” came in handy for chilly mornings. But the best part is being right on the water and 2 blocks to the ocean. It is a tranquil and beautiful spot and Dave was responsive when I had a question. Would definitely go back again. Only caution is the stairs to second floor are steep and narrow.

We had an awesome time at the property! Our little kids loved the backyard access to the basin. It had everything we needed.
