About this villa rental
Castaway Dreams is a Luxurious 6 bedroom 20 person villa with large private pool, tennis/ pickle ball court, and one of the best renovated sugar mills on the entire island. We also have a 40ft Invincible Boat with quad 350's. Just up the hill from Green Cay Marina you will look out from the pool deck and see the magnificent Blue Caribbean Ocean, Buck island, and the Green Cay Marina which is walking distance to were we keep our 40ft Cat style power boat on a slip. Reservation of 7 nights or more will come with a complimentary four hour Captained Charter to Buck Island (Depending on Captains availability of course) on our 2019 40ft Invincible Power Cat with four 350 outboard engines. The home has 6 private air conditioned bedroom suites with full bathrooms in every room along with king size beds as well as the newest queen size sofa beds in four of the rooms. We provide luxurious soft linens as well as large plush pillows. There is a dedicated game room with air conditioning, X Box video console, 90 inch flat screen TV, air hockey, Foosball table, pinball machine as well as a sauna for those times you need to sweat it out. With excellent fast wifi in the entire home you can easily get on the internet with your phone or watch one of our many smart TV's. The Pool deck has been upgraded with new outdoor furniture, Both a pellet Treager smoker and propane gas BBQ grills, lounge chairs, tables, and lounging area. We even provide beach towels and a small cooler for those trips to the beach.
Are you looking to host a large wedding or perhaps a cooperate retreat? Well this home has almost 2 full acres of pristine grass, coconut palms, fruit trees, and floral that will make an excellent back drop to what ever your hosting needs may be. We welcome all kinds of groups. We Recently remodeled the sugar mill with new glass and stamped concrete along with stairs leading up to the full size fenced tennis/ pickle ball court where we have provided both pickle ball and tennis rackets. The sugar mill is two stories with giant spiral staircase and air conditioning. There's a bathroom with shower along with a bar and plenty of space for holding lots of wine bottles. Which makes this mill a very unique place on the property to hang out and relax. We even added a unique rum barrel poker table and 6 chairs in the upper portion.
We are happy to help with excursions. Especially offshore fishing or trips over to Buck Island as we own Apex Stx Charters. From Deep see fishing to quick trips to St Johns or St Thomas we can take great care of you. Buck Island offers snorkeling adventures, scuba diving, or a relaxing time playing in the ocean or just a beautiful backdrop as you do a sunset cruise. We also can help with massages, or jungle hikes to tide pools. At the end of the day come back and enjoy a fabulous dinner in our dinning room were we have a 15 person dinning room table. Made from a locally sourced large Mahogany Slab that is 18 ft long 3 inches thick and over 3 feet wide where you can see thousand of lights twinkling out of the marina or perhaps sit out under the thousands of stars over head. The kitchen has recently been updated some with new double self cleaning ovens, stove, ice maker, dishes, cutlery, spices, and high grade pots and pans. We can help with private chefs if you are not wanting to cook yourself. Or we can help you make reservations at some of the best restaurants on the island.
*** PLEASE NOTE **** We provide a starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. The house is not child proof, there is no barricades around the pool and the deck sits 3 stories up high with rail openings. There's also lots of glass tables resting on stands. All events like weddings and large reunions or cooperate events must get prior approval and will have an event fee which must be paid prior to accessing property. We are 420 friendly however all smoking including vapes, cigarettes and cigars must be smoked outside and all butts must be extinguished in ash trays.

This home on Spicewood Road was great! Beautiful views of the ocean and the marina. I never know if I should believe the sleeping arrangement listed on sites like VRBO but this house legitimately has 6 massive rooms with king beds and several pull out couches an awesome game room (air hockey, foosball, pinball, etc). The host (James) was very responsive and helpful. There was an entire team involved in helping us through the week (Althea - house care; Carl - boat captain). It was just a very pleasant host experience. The air conditioning in one of the rooms did not work (room 6) but it was only because they couldn’t get the part in time after we notified Althea. Everything else worked great (and with a house this big there is always something that likely needs fixing)! The boat and captain were great. The pool was clean and cool. The main living area kitchen could easily fit 15-20 people. We are also big tennis players and were pleasantly surprised by the very good condition of the hard tennis court. All we had to do was quickly tighten up the net a bit and it was ready to go - bring your own rackets though if you are serious tennis players! The sugar mill bar was a nice touch too. It’s immaculate! I can’t imagine how much it cost to restore this sugar mill, but it was very nice and the upstairs portion is ideal for a sunset game of poker with 6 friends. We only took 8 people (4 adults and 4 children) and we could have had way more! 5-stars!!!

Our family of nine came to celebrate a major birthday and very much enjoyed our stay here. It is easy to love a place with private pool and tennis court. Responses from owners were impressively prompt when we had a question.The only real issue was that the bedroom on the lowest level was difficult to cool. But I understand the property is getting some renovations, so perhaps that will take care of it.

Starting with positives - the house is very large and spacious with great views. The tennis court and sugar mill were also great!
However, we had a few issues that led us to only stay for one night of our planned vacation. Thankfully the owner was gracious enough to allow us to back out of our reservation and find another place. As stated in another review, there are some upkeep issues - long grass, a missing door handle that meant we couldn't lock up the main house, and we were also unable to get the TVs to work. The TVs and the grass were not a big deal to us, but at the time the AC was not working in the main house (only in the bedroom) so we were sweating trying to spend time together as a group. In addition, the light in the pool was hanging into the pool which made us feel unsure of possible electrical safety issues. So with the AC, pool, and some issues being able to lock up the house, we felt we had to move on.
I'm sure the owner has resolved the AC issue by now and the TVs probably could have been figured out with more time. This will be a great rental once a few things get ironed out.
Side note, we had kids age 11-13 and the layout probably wasn't the best for us either. I think for a group of adults it would be great. The main house has kitchen, living and 1 bedroom. Then walk across the pool area to 2 bedrooms that open to outside. Down the stairs from there to 2 more bedrooms and gym that open to a hallway and then down again to the apartment.
