Piccolo Paradiso

The staff made our stay absolutely fantastic and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious and was dog friendly. On site parking was free. The beach was literally across the road and the local area has a lovely old town and lots of shops and restaurants. The resort itself has a shop, restaurant and lots of other facilities so you have everything on your doorstep.

The bed wasn't particularly comfortable. It would be nice to have a duvet in the room and for the beds to be made on arrival - we were provided with sheets and had to make the bed ourselves.

Studios are generally nice, as per photos. Beach is nearby. Wifi was functional, but required logging in each time. Breakfast was stated as optional, CHF 8, but was not clear if this is included in the price or not, we asked and gave up.

We work hard, so we wanted vacation somewhere with a sea view and proximity to the beach. So, I used these filters to exclude the options that do not offer things that made difference to us. I made sure the description on the room includes this and I took a screen shot. Guess what. No sea view (this facility has none), but a train view (noisy, vibrations, frequent). The host did not acknowledge the mistake, neither offered a discount, tried to overcomplicate things, pretended not to ‘understand’ what we mean that there is false information – I have purchased one thing and got something else (I have a screen shot that I purchased the option with sea view on the room, not just facility). The confirmation, upon my purchase, contained only very general info, so there was nothing I could use to clarify or change before travelling. As this was pre-paid, we stayed in the studio; we were surprised that the facility removed the ‘sea view’ option by the time we went up (we also showed the host on my laptop that this is what I purchased – this option was still there when we were checking in). We felt deceived. This is also disloyal competition to hotels who are honest in disclosing the information. Garage (9 Eur per day) is in the basement of the facility – pretty much a non-option, as it is difficult to maneuver – you can damage your car in going down (too steep), pillars if you would like to try to park – it is possible, but not worth the time. We parked in free (close to beach) area (I asked about parking options before arriving, no answer by email). There is a train and a street separating the accommodation from the beach. Overall, the whole complex is sub-standard (facility and environment) - not worth the price. Studios are nice, most spaces are cleaned, too little space in closet (this is supposed to be for 4 people, but this is more for 1, max 2 people), fridge does not cool enough, no functional freezer, AC does not cool really. The reality is far from photos.

Die Unterkunft hat unseren Vorstellungen sehr entsprochen. Perfekte Lage, schlichte und einfache Ausstattung mit dem nötigsten was es braucht. Das Bad muss vor kurzem neu renoviert worden sein und hat unsere Erwartung übertroffen. Erstaunt waren wir auch über die Ruhe, die wir auf einem Camping Areal nicht unbedingt erwartet hätte. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und waren rundum zufrieden DANKE

Bellissimo posto abbiamo preso un appartamento ed è stato comodissimo, attrezzato di tutto, spiaggetta proprio a due passi fantastica, la signora Gabriella sempre disponibile e anche i bagnini della spiaggia davvero bravi e attenti! Consigliatissimo
