The Old Bakery was a great place to stay and would highly recommend
The Old Bakery was perfect for our requirements as it was warm, cosy and exceptionally clean and it was ideal for a long weekend while we were attending a sports event in Sunderland. Its in a great location in a village that has good transport links to cities and towns in the area. It is well equipped with everything you need, especially in the kitchen as we need to cook our own meals. We will certainly be booking it for next years event in Sunderland. Many thanks for a lovely stay

What a wonderful place to stay
What a beautiful cottage in a lovely collage. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve stayed in. The host was super helpful and friendly, who was also quick to respond to any enquiry I had. On arriving at the property it was easy to get into, warm and welcoming. The host had decorated for Christmas with a wreath on the door, a beautifully laid table, Christmas tree and lights around the exterior of the house. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was a welcome basket along with milk and orange juice in the fridge. Which was a lovely touch. The beds were super comfortable the bedding and towels were lovely and fresh. There is plenty of hanging space and coat hangers in the bedroom. There is a lovely pub a minutes walk away and plenty of buses that run through the village to local areas. So all in all a perfect destination for visiting the north east. We will definitely return.
