Although the neighbourhood looks a little run-down at first, we found it very vibrant and felt completely safe there. Locals were always out meeting friends and enjoying themselves, and the area has plenty of great and affordable food, coffee, homemade desserts and smoothies, as well as supermarkets and fruit and vegetable vendors nearby. The apartment is also very close to the New Bazaar and within easy walking distance of Skanderbeg Square. We were travelling with our 7-year-old son during a heatwave, so we actually ended up spending quite a lot of time in the apartment, and it was a comfortable and pleasant place to be. We could watch TV, use the kitchenette to wash and prepare fruit, keep water and dhallë cold in the fridge, etc. The washing machine was particularly useful after almost two weeks of travelling. The host was very responsive and made both check-in and check-out easy. Another big plus was that, although the area itself is lively, the apartment does not face the main road, so it was quiet and peaceful inside.

Despite the host’s best efforts to help us with directions, we found the property a little tricky to locate when we first arrived. We didn’t have internet access at the time and, although we found the correct street, the property itself does not face the main road and wasn’t immediately obvious to us. I would recommend getting the exact location and directions from the host beforehand, especially if you expect to arrive without mobile data. The surrounding area is somewhat run-down, although, as mentioned above, we found it lively, convenient and completely safe during our stay.

Fatmir is a fantstic host, very clean and comfortable apartment and a great location just a few minutes away from main square.

The place was great and if we needed anything we only needed to text the owners and they would bring it, the place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, the location is great, just around a ten minutes walk to the middle of the city.

The tv occasionally had trouble staying connected but that's the only thing negative I can possibly think off if anything, but we didn't go to watch TV, so it wasn't a problem for us And the knives was slightly dull but they work enough for basic cooking and cutting fruit
