Sweethome – La Jacqueminière

This property is a wonderful, massive house in a quaint little commune within 6min drive / 20min cycle or 30 min run of Courtenay. The outdoor areas are delightful - a pool, sunbeds, large covered dining area, BBQ, play areas for the kids, sofas and table tennis. It really was the highlight of the stay. The beds were comfortable and the lounge area had a huge seating area for the rainy days (not that we had any). The kitchen and utility area was good, with three large fridges (one was broken during our stay, but this wasn’t an issue for us) and a freezer, washing machines and driers. We stayed as group of 21 - 14 adults and 7 kids and we had a brilliant time. The hosts responsive and even came to clean the pool halfway through the visit without problem. There are some lovely places to visit within 30mins drive. The local town has some very enjoyable bars, a local outdoor pool, boulangeries and 2 supermarkets.

Everything was good on the whole. There were a few fixtures and fittings that’s had broken that could do with replacing, and the kitchen could be better equipped with some sharp knives and more oven trays etc. The property is warm in summer, so a fan js recommended! The pool parasols and toy box could do with updating but these were minor issues. Fixing these however would make it an even better experience.

Gîte très sympa, grand, avec beaucoup d’accessoires pour les enfants et autres.

Petit bémol: la piscine qui n’est pas couverte et donc peut être dangereux quand on est en présence d’enfants (ce qui était notre cas) . Nous avons un test avec l’alarme mais celle ci ne fonctionnait pas. Donc à réviser je pense ☺️
