The location of the house was absolutely stunning, nestled in the forest. Beautiful old house fully equipped with everything we needed. Our hosts were very welcoming and so helpful. A really wonderful stay!

Absolutely nothing!

Viel Platz in historischen Gemäuern, schön und gemütlich renoviert. Das Bad war sehr groß. Die Lage im Wald, aber nicht weit weg vom Strand war idyllisch. Die halbwilden Ponys, die man ab und zu sehen konnte.

Die Einfahrt zum Haus war am Ende ziemlich steil, vielleicht nicht für jedes Auto so gut geeignet.

We had the most wonderful experience at Casa Rurale, a true hidden gem nestled in the hills. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and genuine welcome by the ladies who live upstairs. What truly elevated the experience was Antxon, the owner, whose encyclopaedic knowledge of the surrounding flora and fauna—as a seasoned forest ranger—brought the landscape to life. His passion for the natural world is infectious, and we learned so much just walking the trails and listening to his fascinating insights. Every plant, bird and rock seemed to have a story! One of the highlights was being treated to a pot of home-cooked Basque Mamitoko. It was moments like these that made our stay feel so personal and special. If you’re looking for peace, beauty, and genuine human warmth, Casa Rurale is a perfect choice. A peaceful paradise tucked away from the world, where time slows down and nature wraps around you. We can’t wait to return.
