La Chiantinelle - Suite Double

We had a lovely stay at La Chiantinelle, the property is in a beautiful location, the owners were helpful and the outdoor facilities were great. We were a bit confused on arrival about our accommodation as we thought we had booked an entire unit with lounge and cooking facilities and breakfast provided but we had 2 double rooms with a fridge and coffee making area. On re-checking our booking this was exactly as described however when I went on line as if booking , it did show the facilities I was expecting. I would acknowledge that this was my fault for not properly checking with the booking but would say that the listing could make it clearer. The owners were very helpful however and provided us with plates, knives and forks so that we could make some simple cold food. This was definitely needed as the location is quite remote and it was not practical to go out for three meals a day! The owner was also a little stingy with toilet roll, being provided with two rolls for five of us for 6 days and surprised and a little put out when we asked for more, even then we were only given 1 extra roll! Their dogs were lovely but the young one was prone to nipping. One of our group was nervous of dogs and I can see that this could be an issue with children if the dog behaves the same with them. Overall a good experience and I'm sure the hosts will develop over time as they are still quite new to this.
